Commuter Waiting Games Book - Retail Value $14.95 (Found here for $6.92)

This spiral-bound book is full of ways to pass the time while you're waiting for the train, stuck on a highway, and more. Luckily, the traffic I hit in Pittsburgh is rarely so bad that I'd need an in-car pastime, but I think it could be a great gift for my friends in LA, or even road trip-bound families with young kids.

7" and 5" Stainless Steel Santoku Knife Set - Retail Value $23.90

Oooh, I've been meaning to pick up a few new knives. These stainless steel knives have a nice heft to them and are sharp as ever. They feel pretty sturdy, too. I like that there are two sizes so that I can use the smaller one on smaller veggies. I've been trying to do more cooking at home in 2018, and these knives will be really helpful in that endeavor.

Disney Parks Light-Up Stein

This Disney souvenir is pretty darn awesome! I can't determine what movie this castle-like plastic stein nods to, but it is super cool. Just tap the round button on the base and the whole thing will either flicker like a candle or blink through a rainbow of colors. The inside is double walled plastic so that your drink doesn't interact with the gadgetry of the lights. The only complaint I have about this fun drinking cup is that some of the paint on the outside seems worn down in a few places. I wonder if there was an error and that's how this box got a hold of them... Either way, I can't wait to pull this out during a watch party!

BCBG Scarf - Estimated Value $48.00

Wow! I would NOT have expected a brand like BCBG to be featured in this box! I couldn't find this exact look online, but I linked to a similar style for reference. This long scarf is taller than me—I think it's at least 6 feet—and soft as all get out. It's 100% acrylic, and it's extremely cuddly. The fringe details aren't quite my style, but I love how bundled up I can get in this look. And the camel color is great—it's a crowd-pleasing color for a box like this, and I personally love how versatile and warm it is.

Orange Water Bottle

There wasn't any branding on this bottle, so I'm not sure how to price it. I do like it a lot—for one thing, it's BPA-free, and for another, it's main chamber is about 8 inches tall, so it holds a lot. As you can see in the photo, the tapered part of the top unscrews, so you can drop ice in there. The orange cover is made of velvety plastic, so it's pleasant to hold. It's so good to stay hydrated during these dry winter months, so I'll definitely be putting this to use!

The Verdict: I really liked this box! It might be my favorite edition of this subscription so far. I thought the products were not only relevant to my interests and needs but pretty decent quality, too! Who knew? And can I say WOW again at the fact that a BCBG product ended up in this box? I would never have expected that. I hope this subscription keeps upping its game with occasional treasures like this one this year!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? There's no telling which random items you'll get inside this box, even if you sign up today. Subscribe now to get February's box of surprises!

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $24.99 (with free shipping). There were a few items that I couldn't find prices for, but consider that the items I could find definite retail values for were worth $38.85. That's not even counting the scarf—the similar style I found for that was worth over $40.00!

I didn’t get the scarf, knives, or water bottle. Instead I got two candles that were not secured or protected in any way. One of the candles was broken. There was broken glass all over the box and I actually touched a piece before realizing that there was broken glass in there. I tried contacting them about it, got an automated response but other than that nothing, waited about a week and contacted them again, still nothing.

I’m astonished by what you got. This box is usually so iffy.

This is definitely the best box I’ve seen from this company.

I’m surprised to see a Disney Parks item in the box. When I worked at the Disneyland, extra items were set aside to be sent to charity.

I worked at Disney World until recently, that Stein was a promotion from when the Rivers of Light show came out in Animal Kingdom in February 2017, so it wasn’t off of any movie.

Tay, you beat me to it. I was also going to say that it’s the light up mug for the Rivers of Light night show at Animal Kingdom 🐆🦓🦒🐘🦖
