Grow Your Own Venus Flytrap - Retail Value $7.95

Whoa! I know a venus flytrap is technically a plant, but I still feel so funny getting, like, a little creature inside of a box! This tiny kit (it's smaller than the size of my cell phone...) has everything I need to get started growing my own carnivorous plant. You'd think, because of the size of this kit, that growing this little guy would be simple. I'm glad they include a little guidebook because it looks like this is actually quite a process—venus flytraps are particular little plants! It's going to take a good 6 weeks to even get a sprout... Wish me luck!

Slingshot Rocketeer

I couldn't find a reliable value for this toy, but it seems like the kind of fun thing I could find at a drug store toy aisle or at a dollar store. The idea of this simple toy is that you shoot the light-up green sticks into the air using a little slingshot setup, and then they flutter down from the sky, whirligig style. It's a simple toy, but would be a lot of fun at a big family/friend bonfire. It's going to be a few months before it's warm enough for hanging out outside again, but I'll hold onto these! They'd also make a good in-a-pinch present for a kiddo.

Kikkerland Selfie Stick - Retail Value $4.49

This is my first-ever selfie stick! I've gotta say, after years of group selfies with an inevitable awkward arm taking up too much of the screen, I'm amazed at how easy it is to take a normally posed photo of myself with this gizmo. I have a Nexus 6P (old school, right?) that's on the big side, but it still fit just fine into the adjustable caddy. Just pop the plug into the headphone jack and use the button on the handle to set off your shutter. I didn't think I was a selfie-stick person, but I might just be a convert!

The Verdict: This box was really fun! The items inside were all a bit more playful rather than practical, which made the unboxing experience a little more exciting than usual. It felt like opening up a holiday stocking! And while the slingshot toy was a little simple, I felt like the quality of everything was actually pretty good, given the price point. I'm eager to see how the venus flytrap goes... fingers crossed!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can always sign up, but what you'll get in your box is totally random!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $9.99. I couldn't find a value for the second item, but the other two products already have a retail value of $12.44, meaning you're saving on the items you get. As long as they're worthwhile products that you find valuable, this box definitely felt worth it.

How do I cancel by boxes? I can’t afford it next month and I certainly can’t afford for it to come right out of my bank account. I’m having a really hard time finding anything on how to cancel a subscription. Anything will help, thanks!

Those light launcher things are $9.99 and you can find them in any “As Seen On TV” section of a store. They are super fun! My husband and I like to have them when we are camping, because we’re 12.

Yeah, these are definitely not available at the dollar store lol, I WISH. My niece had to have one after seeing someone playing with one in the neighborhood. I had to fork over 10 bucks, but it was worth it, she (and I) played with it for quite a while before we were rained out.

My father would have loved a sub box like this one. He loved to see all the gadgets that were made. I sort of enjoy them myself.

I have never, ever had luck getting carnivorous plants of any kind to sprout from seeds.

I can keep them alive OK if I buy the little ones that are already established.

Oh a Venus flytrap… awesome! You should hold a little shop of horrors movie night when that guy sprouts. 😉
