They changed the FEATURES of the Box in their Website. It was “5-7 magical items in each box”, now it says “4-6 magical items in each crate”.
So, they have increaded the price of the box, but reduced the number of items (one of each is going to be a pin btw).
We can probably expect 3 items and a pin, and that seems really MEH!

That is super shady. But really Loot crate has been nothing but shady the last few months with all their crates. The price increase with the item decrease has caused me to cancel my subscription.

I expect this box to be on time since the last two were late and loot crate should include a bonus item like an extra wearable or something since they short us an item in the last box. Customer service needs improving also. I never got an email explaining the delay. I’m thinking about canceling this box since I was so disappointed on how small the last box was and I don’t want any stationary items that this box is impleying since we already got that from them.

They have increased the price again to $39.99 plus shipping and handling. No news of any items.

I am sometimes disappointed in the crate, but always feel like I got much more than my money’s worth of things I like. My kids are also HP fans, and we go to Universal Studios regularly, so we see things there for much higher prices than we get in this box.

The boxes ship the month they are (for example January box ships mid january) How would it be a xmas present???

For me, we didn’t realize there was an order Deadline. He thought if he ordered beginning of December, they’d just send me whatever box is available. We get how it works now. lol.

We all got an e-mail (or you should have) that they delayed shipment until mid February. We should be getting the shipping e-mail soon. Mine was also supposed to be a christmas gift from my brother. lol

I wouldn’t know what this box is like. I subscribed in November 2017 and still have not received my first box yet. Totally unacceptable. Where do I go to unsubscribe?

If you go to the website sign in and click on my orders. There’s an option to unsubscribe. I understand how you feel; I ordered in December and feel like it’s taking way to long. I’ve subbed to other boxes from Lootcrate and they all had shipping delays as well.

I am considering signing up for this sub box. Can anyone reading this comment on whether they feel like the quality of products and contents of the boxes are worth all the shipping delays? I’m planning on using part of my tax refund to pay for a year upfront and I either want to do this one or the Geek Gear one. I’m pulling my hair out about it. lol

I tried both Geek Gear Harry Potter and LootCrate one. I personally like LC better, since all the items are licensed and the sub is located in the US. Geek Gear is a UK subscription, and they don’t provide the tracking # which to some people may not be ok.
As for the items, I personally prefer LC (I am still a subscriber), Geek Gear seems to have more “artisan” items meaning they are not licensed and the quality sometimes is lacking. Sometimes they will include items that are “kinda” Harry Potter-related (eg. frog cookie baking molds) , and even though I see that they tried to make a reference to chocolate frogs, I didn’t like that it was not exclusive or licensed.
Yeah, the past 2 LC had been delayed, but I was a subscriber since crate 1, so I am definitely seeing an improvement in items. Last crate was pretty cool and a lot of items can actually be used in every day like. That picture frame was really unique.

I feel like this sub started out awesome, but has slowly been going downhill. I don’t personally feel like the products they’re including are worth the delay, but everyone loves different things so maybe you would. Harry Potter merchandise seems to be delayed from every retail outlet though (still waiting for my Christmas gift from Pottery Barn to ship out), so I suppose it’s just a fandom theme at the moment. Hedwig jewelry cage from PB? Totally worth waiting for. Magnet set and coasters from LC? Not so much. Maybe hold off on jumping into a year long commitment until you get a box? That way you can judge the quality/item types and decide “is this worth waiting an extra month for?”.

I hope they do house-themed items this time again. They only did it once last year around this time, so maybe it’s going to become a tradition of theirs. But I’d personally prefer having at least one item house-specific, otherwise what was the point of us picking one during the sign-up process?…

I understand and I feel the same way. I was sad that we haven’t really had any house specific items. I just started my sub with them for the November box and I look forward to the “new wizarding gear” that’s going to be in the March box! I hope it wont be a delay on that one too though. I think my slytherin friend has a birthday around that time and this would be a great gift!
