Gentleman's Box January 2018 Review

Each month, you’ll receive lifestyle, accessories, and fashionable pieces, all of which can be styled together or separately.

Each month also honors a famous gentleman. This month’s theme is Milk Man and I believe they are honoring football player, JJ Watts. 

This monthly booklet includes styling tips, editorials, stories, and information on every item in the box as well. 

This month’s booklet includes some light reading material on mental and physical health, along with guidelines on the 12 months of being good.

Now let’s take a look at what’s in this month’s shipment!

Deo Veritas Tie - Listed Value $29

This tie was unavailable on the Deo Veritas site, so the link above is to their site so you can explore the brand.

I've received many ties from Gentleman's Box and each month I feel like I like the new one more than the last! This classic color combo tie is perfect for Spring/Summer wear and will pair nicely with many different colored bottoms and shirts. I really appreciate the fabric on this tie too; it's more on the canvas-y side and unlike anything else I own. This one is surely a winner in my book and will get plenty of use!

East of Liberty Money Clip - Listed Value $15

I was unable to find this exact money clip on their site, so the link above is to a similar style.

I've never used a money clip before but this one is so fun looking, I'm sure I'll be put it to good use when I don't feel like lugging around my entire wallet. The metal is very sturdy and was able to hold about 5-7 bills and 2 cards, which is perfect for what I'll be using this for!

Lockstep Apparel Socks - Listed Value $12

This pair is currently sold out on their site, so the link above is to similar styles.

These socks are super soft and will pair quite nicely with the tie in this month's shipment. I'm not sure what it is about them, but plain striped socks are my favorite, so these are another winner for me! The color combo, like the tie, is classic and when paired together, I will have a nicely pulled together look!

Gentlemen's Essentials Lapel - Listed Value $15

I've seen these fake rose lapels online for sometime and have always been curious but haven't bought one, so this is a big win for me this month! The lapel itself is made of quality material and the navy fabric is nicely made and sturdy, so it won't be losing its shape. I plan on putting this not only on suit jackets but also a denim jacket in the summer to make it more unique!

Gentleman's Essential Pocket Square - Listed Value $25

This exact tie was sold out, so the link above is to their current pocket square collection.

This pocket square is perfectly in-line with the red/white/blue color scheme of this month's box and will pair nicely with the tie and socks! The material itself is very soft and is nicely constructed, making me feel it's of pretty good quality, too. I tend to only wear pocket squares when I'm going to nicer events, so I think this will be great for a spring wedding or a work event.

Gentleman Collective Leather Bracelet - Listed Value $25

This current bracelet is sold out, so the link above is to their current collection of accessories.

I'm not the biggest fan of bracelets but this one I may actually wear! I really enjoy that there are two different materials; one side being leather and the other rope, both being well made and sturdy. I think this will be great to wear during summer days with shorts and a button up, which should give off nautical vibes and a fun polished look.

Verdict: This is one of my favorite Gentleman's Box I've received thus far! All pieces in this month shipment are extremely unique, of high quality and will be used day in and day out. The value received in this month's box was about $121, which far exceeds the $25 + free shipping box cost! I'd suggest this box for any gentleman who is looking to up their accessory game with a new look every month!
