Bocandy Starter Box December 2017 Review
Milka Raisin & Nut, 3.52 oz. – Retail Value $2.35
I love the Milka chocolate brand, and always love tasting their different chocolate bar creations. This particular flavor is made with raisins and nuts. The nuts added a lovely crunch that I think mixes so nicely with the rich chocolate that Milka makes. The raisins made everything a little chewy, in a good way. The combination of flavors and texture made this little chocolate bar taste so fresh!
Bananko, 1.05 oz. – Buy a 36-pc box for $17.98
I have received this little treat in the last few of my Bocandy boxes. I decided to share this one with my husband, who loves anything banana flavored. He agreed with me that the filling is more like a fluffy marshmallow texture that is super sugary. The outer shell of chocolate is so cool how it crumbles and crunches at every bite.
Japanese Style Peanuts, 1.76 oz. – Buy a 10-pc box for $29.99
These peanuts were so delicious! Each peanut is made to be coated in this thin shell that is made of wheat flour and soy sauce. The soy sauce adds a light saltiness and the wheat flour shell is so unique. It almost tastes like a hollow shell until you get to the peanut center. This is a really unique take on peanuts that I absolutely loved. I am going to be buying a bigger bag for my house since everyone seemed to love them!
Canel’s Gum, 0.5 g (2 packets) – Buy a 60-pc box for $3.17
I have had these little pieces of gum before and always love them! They remind me of a treat my parents would let me have once I was old enough to be trusted with chewing gum. Each piece has a crunchy shell that turns into a yummy chewing gum after a few chews. The gum is extra fruity, but the flavors don’t last long so you might have to pop a few in at once!
Ricolino Kranky, 15 g – Retail Value $4.99
These are chocolate covered Corn Flakes! I was super excited to read the ingredients on this fun bag because I absolutely love Corn Flakes! Each bite was super crunchy and had that yummy Corn Flake flavor. The milk chocolate was so sweet and added a whole other level to my enjoyment of this little cereal!
Kras Animal Kingdom, 0.5 oz. – Retail Value $0.30
These little chocolate bars are so thin. They are a great way to curb your sweet tooth cravings quickly and without eating too much. I have gotten this brand of chocolate before, and while I love any and all chocolate, this does have a bit of a waxy taste to me. It is still delicious, but not something that I would eat too much of just because it doesn’t have that creamy flavor that I typically like.
Eugenia Original Biscuit – Buy two 360 gram bags for $15.99
These biscuits are filled with a cacao cream that is so yummy! The cookie biscuits are extra thick so they have a great crumble to them. They taste almost vanilla like with a slight nut flavor. The cacao cream is sweet but nothing too overwhelming. I enjoyed this little bag of biscuits with a cup of coffee and boy was is delicious!
Pollito Asado, 2 lollipops – Buy a 40-pc box for $4.89
I did a lot of research about these lollipops and let me tell you, I am fascinated by them! Each lollipop is shaped like a little-roasted chicken, but I think mine must have melted in transit somehow because they didn’t hold that shape well. I looked at photos online though and they really are supposed to look like a chicken. Don’t be fooled by the design of the lollipop and the label though, these are peach and pineapple flavored! Each bite is super sweet and extra fruity tasting, it reminded me of summer. I am honestly not sure why these are shaped like chickens still. Does anyone know more about these cool little lollipops?
Verdict: I really enjoyed the December Bocandy! I noticed over the past few months that I was receiving a lot of the same treats month after month. However, December seems to have a bit more variety with only two snacks that I have received in past boxes. I love candy and chocolate of all kinds so Bocandy really is a box that I look forward to, but I hope the overall variety continues so that I can taste test new and unique flavors!

Value Breakdown: The monthly cost of this box is $9.99 + $4.99 shipping. I received a total of nine treats in this box, which averages out $1.66 per snack. While I really enjoyed the variety this month, I still find the overall value to be a bit high. I would love to see some newer snacks that might have a bit of a higher price point or a few more to continue the overall variety.
