Avid Dresser is a monthly dress styling subscription. Subscribers take a style quiz and work with their stylist to find dresses that work for their lifestyle. There are 2 different plans: Basic (1 dress per month) and Signature (2 dresses per month). They have also just introduced a Curvy Girls plan (1 dress per month). All the dresses you receive are yours to keep!

Avid Dresser December 2017 - Boxinside

For the sign-up process, I took a style quiz answering questions about my size, color and style preferences, for what occasions I need dresses, etc. I also had the option to choose to talk to a stylist directly or not. I would recommend choosing yes because it was super helpful!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the subscription review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review of the Signature subscription box, which is $49.99 a month.

Avid Dresser December 2017 Box Review

Let’s see the dresses my stylist has picked for me this month:

My stylist, Rachel, included a handwritten note telling me a little about her selections for me.

Black V-Neck Dress modeled

Black V-Neck Dress, S - Retail Value $34.99

This dress is one that is currently offered on Avid Dresser's site. It is a rayon/spandex mix mini dress that has a slinky feel. It has a flare fit and I find that it works best for me over leggings or tights especially in the cooler months. The neckline is a trendy choker cut out style. Plus, pockets!

Gilli Navy Faux Wrap Knit Dress

Gilli Navy Faux Wrap Knit Dress, M - Estimated  Value $45

I found a similar style Gilli dress online to estimate value but not the exact one. This dress is a soft, stretchy rayon/poly/spandex blend. The top is a faux wrap in a heathered navy. The waist is banded and flows out to an A-line shaped navy stripe fabric. The bottom half has an attached slip which makes it flow well over curves. I love the ¾ length sleeve. I always find wrap silhouettes to be flattering and this one is not too low to wear to work.

Khloe Collection Earrings - Estimated Value $10

My stylist included a set of earrings this month that are perfect for glamming up solid dresses. They are cluster stud style with a big rhinestone in the middle. I really like the way they look with the black dress.

The Verdict: I’m really liking both dresses this month. And, I love the inclusion of a bonus pair of cute earrings. Both dresses can be transitioned from cooler months to spring with layers and jackets. I got two dresses I like for $49.99. Customer service is great and has helped with any issues that I have run into along the way. I’m really looking forward to seeing the dresses included as the weather gets warmer.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Avid Dresser picks dresses for you based on your style preferences and what they have in stock. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: The cost of this box is $49.99 for two dresses. That means you are paying about $25 for each dress. I think the value of the dresses at least equals or exceeds that amount.

The black item isn’t a dress but a tunic. The blue dress is pretty but IMO neither are $25, especially the black one.

I don’t know if it’s Avid dresser or you being so darn pretty & looking great in everything or us having similar styles… or a combination of those things… but these reviews are always awesome! I’m so tempted so subscribe.

That blue dress is one of the prettiest outfits I have seen in all the sub boxes.

Mwah

Navy dress for the win! She looks gorgeous in that.

The black tunic is okay. Pretty cute. It’d be better if it didn’t fit so loosely around the upper waist. And the choker detail on clothing IMO is excessive when you can just add your own choker to any piece. (Plus I hate the feel of anything too tight around my neck – chokers, mock turtlenecks, etc.). I like that the tunic is slinky and stretchy therefore comfy. Pockets are nice too.

The black tunic is good, better than okay, just not WOW like the navy dress.

Great review!
