The other side goes over the three products included, how to use them, and the retail price.

Niu Body Hydrate Facial Serum back of Niu Body Hydrate Facial Serum eyedropper from the Niu Body Hydrate Facial Serum

Hydrate Moisturizing Facial Serum, 1 fl oz. - Retail Value $25

The first offering from Niu Body is this facial serum called Hydrate. It's made with pumpkin seed, sweet almond, and lavender oil which has it smelling divine. I've been using this one at night to try and repair the dryness my skin combated all day long. The oil isn't incredibly thick or anything, but not as thin as other facial oils I've used. My skin seems to drink it all in while I sleep and I wake up not looking so dehydrated anymore.

Niu Body Calm Toning Mist back of Niu Body Calm Toning Mist Niu Body Calm Toning Mist with cap off

Calm Lavender Toning Mist, 2 oz. - Retail Value $12

I'm glad I've gotten into toner this year because this one is excellent! Since this one is called Calm and includes lavender floral water (that sounds SO FANCE), aloe vera, and witch hazel, I've been using it at night, after cleanser and before the above hydrate facial serum. Just like the serum, it has a wonderful light scent and also helps with hydration. I feel like I've found a great bedtime dream team in these two products thus far!

Niu Body Pina Colada Lip Polish bottom of Niu Body Pina Colada Lip Polish Niu Body Pina Colada Lip Polish with lid off

Pina Colada Lip Polish, 1 oz. - Retail Value $10

Lip scrubs and I have had a touchy track record in the past, mainly because I felt like I was somehow using them wrong. I now realize that the nature of the lip scrub is a messy one, the same way body scrubs are. You carve some out of the jar and rub it against your lips, with some of it inevitably falling into your mouth and the sink. It's not a pretty sight, but the sugar scrubs any loose skin right off of my lips while the other ingredients (like shea butter, avocado oil and fractionated coconut oil) leave them moisturized and soft. The pina colada scent is dead on, although I don't like it as much as the forthcoming coconut. Luckily all of these ingredients are safe to lick off of your lips as well.

Niu Body Makeup Remover Wipes

Makeup Remover Wipes (2 pack) x 3 - Total Retail Value $6

The beauty product that started Niu Body is their core product, the makeup remover wipes. There are four different types of combo, normal, dry, and oily skin. They've included 3 of their 2-pad travel packs for normal skin this time. The main ingredient is coconut oil, in addition to geranium and lavender oil. I'm torn with these wipes because although they removed my makeup, they also made my face super oily. The directions say to remove the excess oil by rinsing, but I normally prefer a wipe that immediately makes me feel clean. For those out there who are used to using an oil-based makeup remover, these pads would be an amazing travel companion.

Niu Body Glow Facial Serum back of Niu Body Glow Facial Serum eyedropper from Niu Body Glow Facial Serum

Glow Luminizing Facial Serum, 1 oz. - Retail Value $27

Pearlesque Box and Niu Body included a second facial serum in this package as well, this time called "glow". Since I don't need to glow while I'm sleeping, I've been using this one in the morning, opposite the "hydrate" serum. The difference is in the ingredients, which are organic jojoba (minimizes pores) oil, camellia (packed with antioxidants and omegas 3 + 6) oil, and bergamot (to refresh your mind and relieve stress) essential oil. All good things here, and I swear to you, just the other day someone said I was glowing. Was it this serum??

Niu Body Coconut Lip Polish bottom of Niu Body Coconut Lip Polish Niu Body Coconut Lip Polish with lid off

Coconut Lip Polish, 1 oz. - Retail Value $10

The second lip polish offering and last item is this coconut lip scrub. I prefer this scent to the pina colada while it delivers the same natural ingredients and scrubbiness.

Verdict: Pearlesque Box introduced me to Niu Body this month with their simple packaging with natural ingredients and radiant-skin-making abilities. I enjoyed everything that came in the box, but my only gripe is that I wish they would have swapped out one of the lip polish or serums for a different product (like their masks). That's the thing about sub boxes though, you never know what's really coming (unless you read our spoilers, of course). I probably won't be rushing to get more makeup remover wipes for myself, but the toning mist, serums, and polish were all lovely on my skin. I received a total of 6 items worth $90 retail for $39.95.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. The 4th of each month is the last day you have to sign up and receive the current month's box. Sign up today and you'll receive January as your first.

I used to subscribe to this. It was always a nice box, I just ended up with a lot of product very quickly. Once I use up some of my stash (or throw away expired products), this is one I’m considering going back to.

I am glad to see a brand that is pricing their serums more reasonably. I have seen others in subscription boxes with similar oils claiming $60-$80 for 1oz.

A great use for serum is a few drops on the back of the hands. They are the first place our age starts to show!

Great box! Shame it’s not available anymore; I’d have picked one up.
