Each box comes with an information card highlighting the brand of each product and a small description. Botanical Pink Clay Mask By Elucx, 1 oz. - Retail Value $25.00 CAD (approximately $19.69 USD)

Now that the weather is getting colder, I am constantly looking for ways to keep my dry skin hydrated. I have never tried a clay mask like this before so I was excited to see how it worked with my skin. This mixture is made with French pink clay, organic rose flower powder, and various essential oils. Plus, Elucx uses only sustainable organic, chemical-free ingredients so you know you are getting a great product! The mask itself was easy to mix together and apply although it was on the messy side, I would recommend washing this off in the shower. For me, this mask worked wonders! After washing it off my skin felt tight yet soft and extremely hydrated. It has been a few days since I used this mask and I am still seeing a healthy glow. This is going to become part of my weekly skin routine!

Travalo Perfume Atomizer - Retail Value $15.99 (found on sale here for $8.55)

I have never heard of a perfume atomizer, but I wish I had sooner! I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to bring my favorite perfume with me on a trip, but never do because I am too nervous about the bottle breaking or leaking. According to the monthly card, all you have to do is pop this atomizer on your perfume bottle, pump it just a few times, and then bam it is filled. The bottle is big enough to hold perfume that would last you on a whole vacation. Plus, it comes in a great travel size or even something you could keep in your purse or desk if you forget to apply your favorite scent in the morning. Another fun fact from the monthly card is that Travalo bottles are recyclable, leak-proof, and can last up to 10 years!

NMF Blazing Red Crystal Nail Polish - Retail Value $6.00? (value based on similar product)

This polish is made in Arizona from a small, woman-owned business that uses vegan products. Plus, each bottle is handmade in small batches that makes this brand super unique and special! As a busy mom, sometimes a little nail polish can be that little fix to making me feel special. I love that this polish is a red with hints of sparkle as we enter into the holiday season! This will be a great color to wear all of December. The polish itself is a bit sheerer so I will say I had to do a few coats to make it really cover.

Dancing Wick Apple Cider Candle - Value $10.00

Dancing Wick is a small, woman-owned business from Spokane Washington that specializes in handmade candles. Each candle is 100% soy, beeswax, and cotton. This particular scent is incredible! It has a sweet apple scent mixed with hints of spice. Even before lighting the candle, the scent filled my home with that sweet spice smell that is great for the time of year!

awesomeMeBeautiful Seasonal Hair Ties - Retail Value $2.65 (found on sale here for $2.38)

These hair ties are created through a very unique process. Each is heat-sealed and hand-tied to ensure that they do not fray. Each is made of a very soft fabric and elastic, but unlike most hair ties these will not break, damage, or crease your hair. I have super thick hair, but these still hold my hair nicely in place even though they might seem too small to hold a ton of hair. I love that this came with two beautiful red designs that really pop against my blonde curls. I absolutely love these handmade ties that I know I will be using constantly!

Herbal Moon Apothecary Peaceful Blend - Retail Value $14.00

Herbal Moon Apothecary is a family-owned business out of Washington that makes 100% organic aromatherapy blends. Each blend is made with essential oils in small batches by hand. This blend is meant to provide you with a calming and peaceful feeling, great to have around during this busy time of year! I rub this easy roll-on oil on my temples or on my chest whenever I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, but I also love this scent so much that I've been wearing it daily. The calming scent is also great to wear before bed to really help you relax. This peaceful blend contains lavender, cedarwood, and sandalwood. Such a lovely scent!

Trophy Wife Jewels: Fingerless Handwarmer Mittens - Value $16.69

These gloves are amazing! I was looking to purchase fingerless gloves as I've quickly discovered that I am constantly having to take my gloves on and off in order to help my toddler when we are out. According to the monthly card, Trophy Wife Jewels is a woman-owned company that holds the mantra that every woman is a trophy. Each of their products is handmade and are eco-conscious. These mittens are so warm and beautifully crafted, I will be rocking these all the time!

Verdict: MomGiftBox is always filled with unique products that typically come from small, women-owned businesses. I have noticed this from my last few boxes, and I love that MomGiftBox is focusing on supporting women and small businesses. I received seven items which break down to $7.14 per item to meet the $49.99 bi-monthly cost. After calculating each item I received $84.58 in products this month. While I did enjoy this month's products, I do feel as though the overall value is going down each month from the first box that I received. I love the unique curation and personalization of the box, but this month's box felt a little less exciting than the previous boxes. The overall value is still well above the bi-monthly cost so I do still see the value in this box.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? All welcome boxes ship within a week after you subscribe. From there, each month's box ships in the middle of the month.

The company seems to have a broad variety of boxes that covers a cat, dog, baby, maybe even one day they will have a lawnmower box…who knows?! What I get from Jenny Garth’s approach to this is that her marriage ended, but she always looks kind of like she hasn’t moved on as easily as her ex-husband has. While she has the residuals of syndication (I’m assuming this) and fortunes that most women facing a failed marriage do not have at her level, it seems like she is trying to help give a hand up to “mommies” and “families with a mommy” that aren’t as fortunate financially as she is. That’s just my view of it. Of course, I don’t know her or anything about the curation of the box, but you’re right that it appeals to WOMEN, not just mommies. I love the items in both this box and the Mommy Mailbox. I’m glad they changed their name and hopefully this box will follow their cue. You’re right. Why label “mommy” when not every woman makes a decision or is given the option to have children? I know a lot of guys that would like this box, too, and they aren’t having babies.

GREAT! Another box that has a name “Mommy” yet no specific “Mommy” Items.

Guess they not read the Mommymailbox reviews or comments before coming with the name or curation.

As a non mother because this is a “Mommy” box I should not like or use any of the items in the box nor should I subscribe because I am not a mother???!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I think this box would be great for any and all women that are looking for fun pampering products. I think Jennie Garth designed the box around wanting to create something that would be a great gift item for busy moms that includes items that aren’t just about being a mom, but a way to remind them to take some me time. I know as a Mom I really appreciate this box, but I have recommended it to many of my friends that aren’t Mom’s as well because the box is that great!

Just my opinion ( from a non mom) : If a box is a mom box – It should at least include 1 real mom item. There are a ton of mom items out there – I am surprised one would not be put in put in a mom box. — When I order a pet box, I expect pet related items. — Or order a beauty box I expect beauty items – Or order a geek box, I expect geek items — Dont moms expect at least 1 real “mom” specific item in a mom box.?
