This card describes the products in your box, along with the theme. The theme this month is Pepero Day, 11/11. On this day, people celebrate by buying boxes of Pepero snacks and give them to loved ones along with a handwritten or printed message.
Now let’s take a look at what’s inside!
Lotte Pepero Original Chocolate Biscuit – Retail Value $1.13 USD
Our first pepero of the month is the original flavor! Each biscuit is dipped in a rich chocolate that is oh so sweet. The chocolate coating is a bit thicker and the biscuit itself provides that yummy vanilla crunch to eat bite. I always love trying new snacks, but sometimes it is nice to try the original!
Lotte Strawberry Milk Candy, 2 pieces – Buy a bag for $5.81
This little strawberry candy looked like a marshmallow and sort of had a similar texture. The candy itself was very sweet with a yummy strawberry flavor. Each piece of candy was so fluffy and fun to eat. Since I got two pieces, I was able to share the second sweet treat with my husband!
Lotte Pepero Almond – Retail Value $1.19
The next pepero is this yummy almond flavor that I absolutely loved! It is pretty similar to the original with the thick coating of chocolate covering the biscuit. What makes this so unique is the almond crunch mixed into the chocolate. Each bite had a nutty flavor that mixed so well with the rich chocolate. I loved that extra crunch that the almond gave to the biscuit. So sweet and crunchy!
Market O Real Brownie, 24 g. – Buy a box of 8 for $14.78
This little brownie tasted like it was fresh out of the oven and not something that you opened from a bag. The brownie was so soft and crumbly, just like it was homemade! The rich chocolate flavors made it extra sweet and fluffy. This was so delicious I gobbled it down in only a few bites, and it left me craving a few more brownies!
Lotte Pepero Vanilla Black Cookie – Retail Value $1.70
This was my favorite pepero of the month! It is called vanilla black cookie, but to me, this was crumbled Oreo’s on the original vanilla biscuit. The creamy filling is basically melted over mixed with that yummy chocolate cookie for an incredible sweetness. You don’t get a ton of the flavors from the biscuit, instead, you get so much of that creamy vanilla flavor and crunch from the cookie. So delicious and easy to eat the whole box!
Orion Choco-Pie – Buy a box of 24 for $19.99
I can’t even begin to describe how good this little pie was. I wasn’t sure what would be inside from the packaging, but when I broke this little pie open I was so excited to see cake with a layer of marshmallow. Outside of that amazing center is a light coating of creamy chocolate. This pie was fluffy and oh so sweet from that incredible marshmallow filling. This was literally a treat straight out of Willy Wonka, it was just too good to be real. I will take a whole box of these any day!
Verdict: This was my first experience with the Korean Snacks Box and I really loved it! From the start, the Korean silk bag was such a beautiful surprise to find, and then to see that there was chocolate inside. Well, that is really all I could ask for! I also enjoyed how the overall theme from Korean Snacks Box matched so perfectly with each sweet treat. I have received the Lotte snacks before and have always wondered why there was a room on the box to write a message, now I know. What a wonderful, and yummy, first adventure from the Korean Snacks Box!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? You will get the December box if you sign up before 12/15.
Value Breakdown: The monthly cost of this box comes in at $16.95, which averages out to $2.82 for each of the size snacks I received. Many of the snacks were harder to find online to purchase as a single item, but overall from what I was able to find, I think the value is totally worth the monthly cost! If you are a chocolate lover looking to discover new treats, this box is for you.
