  1. I love the green polka dot top. I just bought the green top in November’s box, that color is hard to find and it’s my color. I just bought two of the discount totes, so what to do.

    • You can get that too in just the mini tote as well. It’s such a great top.

  2. that red dress would be sooooo cute for christmas parties! I hope it’s available in the mini tote but I’m guessing not

    • Hi. Every new item will be available in the mini tote as well.

    • Sarah mentioned on the GT trading page that all of the December chosens will be offered in both the Golden Tote and the Mini tote!

  3. What happened to GT? This stuff is so outdated and just not cute

    • Beth, I thought I was the ONLY ONE who has thought they’ve lost their edge in curating cute and unique to Golden Tote style casual fashions.
I was looking at each item, and except for a few things which are ” generic” in style, the vast majority are styles I’ve owned in multiples and worn for 2 or more winter seasons now. ( excepting the PJs- too tall to be comfy in PJ bottoms),

When they first started, they sent me COLD SHOULDER sweaters no joke! And the most gorgeous sweater knit striped lounge pants.. Things that were soft, comfy, warm, just what I wanted, but each item was very cutting edge fashionable at that time.

I think they either dropped the suppliers of more chic styling because their volume of sales increased to very huge numbers, or maybe they had too many returns from people who didn’t like boho edgy pieces.

For example, from probably one of the first year’s totes, which was several years ago now, I have a criss cross shoulder cut out cardi in black with large white polka dots. It was an edgy piece when I received it, and it’s still fashionable, just not extremely trendy. I still get compliments and ” Where’d you get that?” from strangers every time it’s cold enough here to wear a sweater ( about 3 times per winter).

I wanted to buy so many totes, but the styling looks almost retro, which does not flatter me at all, or just generic mainstream things I have or can buy anywhere for less, not cutting edge really pretty things.

      • Omg!! Preach sister! I’m a former GT addict, and I STILL get compliments on items from 2-3 years ago. Right around the time they went from 6 items to 5 items per box the quality and style dwindled. Things are very generic now, cheaply made, and I just can’t muster excitement-wish I could, though!! I miss the good old days. The trading boards. The frenzy. Such a bummer.

        • LOL, I never wanted to trade a single thing I bought/ was surprised with from Golden Tote, and I think I still have every single item they sent me back then!

I’ve just finished a complete overhaul of all my clothing closets, and I keep finding all these gorgeous things from Puella and Sarah, because at the beginning, they could pick things and send them according to things like height, overall style. Those two Sarahs can curate fashion like the buyers at NM can! Obviously, as the Puella brand of theirs is so successful.

The changes have to be mostly due to growth of the customer base, which I am so happy for them regarding, of course.
NOTHING I have is out of style or frumpy and I am now over 50 years old.
I don’t recall when they started, but I even have all the original logo tote bags in my purse closet, LOL.

I want to find a more trendy high quality alternative curation box but don’t know which one to try. Golden Tote has the casualness of my style, and most of the reviews I’ve seen here of other boxes have dresses and skirts, and I won’t wear either unless there’s a special night out, party, etc.
