For what it’s worth, a friend of mine from college is one of the female entrepreneurs who has been part of the Tory Burch Foundation fellowship program. Just from observing the experience she has had with the program, it has truly been a blessing to her and her business and the mentorship she’s received has been invaluable. I completely understand having hesitations about foundations you aren’t familiar with, but I personally have witnessed the impact that this foundation has had on a friend and wouldn’t question supporting their mission.

I am glad we post all kinds of boxes on this site. With that said, does anyone else examine boxes like I do? For example, for $98, I think ok, I can get a limited edition PSMH, or the new Rachel Zoe box, etc. The contents look nice and I know it is for a foundation, but that is how my mind works for these boxes. Especially around Black Friday!

Maybe since all Proceeds go to the foundation/charity, the more items & value they offer, the less their is available for the charity to use? I’m not sure the values could be comparable under those circumstances. I do compare boxes, but I fully understand that when I buy a box like this, that it’s for the fact that I’m supporting a good cause.

I love this box, but my entire wardrobe is Tory Burch or Kate Spade. (Please don’t yell at me for that, I have to dress well at work and I buy everything at Sak’s Off Fifth or Nordstrom Rack.)
If you really like this brand, these products are probably right up your alley. I ordered this, and I’m really excited.

So it costs us $98. Say it costs them $7 to ship it, and they reimburse Tory, what – $50 for her socks and cosmetic case. So really only $41 will go to the foundation. Out of that, how much will go toward “empowering women entrepreneurs”, and how much will pay staff salaries?
Just go to Etsy and empower women entrepreneurs directly by spending your $98 on their items that you want.
Nothing like cutting out the middle man!

It seems just a little fishy to give ‘all proceeds to charity’ when half of that charity winds up giving to yourself. She gets reimbursed for her cost of the cosmetic case, and her sport socks reimbursed for that cost, then the profits all go to her ‘foundation’ – one of the recipients of its grants being herself? Plus then her foundation can deduct what it pays to her as charity? I hope I am understanding that all incorrectly – it just seems a little weird.
