Root Science Bright Rejuvenating Eye Serum (.34 oz.) - Retail Value $80.00
Root Science is not a brand I’ve tried before. Bright contains 20 different botanical oils all meant to protect and moisturize the delicate skin around your eyes. One pump is all you need and it should be gently tapped all around the eye area and given a few minutes to be absorbed. The serum is a deep golden color with an earthy herbal smell. I have been using the serum at night before bed and I’m very pleased with the results.
Botnia Daily Face Cream (2 oz.) – Retail Value $50.00
Botnia is a new to me brand based in Sausalito, California which features many locally sourced ingredients. The Daily Face Cream came in a pump bottle and is meant for daily use, both morning and evening. I found it to be a non-greasy and quickly absorbing formula. I’d love to try their face wash next. Maybe Clean Beauty Box will include it in a future box, hint hint!
Cactus Milk Bath – Listed Value $5.00 (Buy an 8 oz. jar for $32.00)
I’ve tried milk baths before and have always found them to be very soothing on my skin. This is my first time trying coconut milk bath made with powdered coconut milk. It left my skin feeling moisturized and the dry itchy patches were soothed. This bath powder dissolved quickly in the warm tub and also contains colloidal oatmeal, kaolin clay, and baking soda.
Verdict: Clean Beauty Box has full-size products, amazing customer service, and beautiful packaging, what more can you ask for? If you are an ingredient-conscious consumer and prefer high-end skincare I can’t recommend this box enough. Plus the $135 value this month is more than triple the cost of the box ($39 a month)!
