Onto the masks!
Mediheal Line Friends P.D.F A.C Dressing Ampoule Mask – Buy 10 for $14.30
The sheet of this mask was very thin making for a nice fit to my face. It also features a cute duck graphic on one cheek! Upon applying, I immediately felt a tingly sensation. It wasn’t at all unpleasant — more like a ‘oh, it’s really working!’ feeling. After a few minutes, though, the tingling sensation got uncomfortably strong and actually became itchy. I couldn’t leave this one on for the full 15-20 minutes, but I did see results in reduced redness the morning after use.
BNBG Vita Genic Relaxing Jelly Mask – Buy 10 for $18.90
Like the first mask, but moreso, this mask featured a paper thin, delicate sheet. I actually tore it a bit while opening the package, so beware. Its thinness allowed it to cling to every contour of my face super comfortably. I was able to smooth out nearly every tiny bubble! The clear jelly essence was abundant, thick, and cooling. I applied the excess jelly over the mask, but you could also save it for an extra mini mask treatment after you remove the sheet. The aloe vera leaf extract in this mask was extremely soothing and gave me a noticeably more radiant complexion. Really enjoyed this one!
Dermal Charcoal Collagen Essence Mask – Buy 10 for $18.95
I did this mask in the bath for a relaxing, refining skin treatment. The sheet fit my face really well and was comfortable. 3 for 3! I loved the brightness that it gave my skin.
Sur Medic Hydro-Hyaluronic Mask – Retail Value $3.50
This very wet mask had a sort of subtle medicinal scent. The brand’s description of this product is extremely accurate:
Intensively nourishes and deeply penetrates to deliver moisturizing properties into dry skin, to create an ultimately dewy appearance with high luminosity.
I was so impressed with the results I experienced from this mask! I applied it for 20 minutes or so before bed and awoke to glowing, clear, and even skin. Definitely a favorite among this month’s batch!
The Oozoo Face Capsule Shot Mask, Aqua Capsule – Buy 5 for $10.00
With the most unique packaging of the month, I was immediately intrigued by the ‘shot’ aspect of this mask treatment. The instructions on the back of the package are in Korean, so I had to do some online investigating to ensure that I was applying this correctly. Here’s what I found:
After cleansing and toning your skin, remove the syringe from its packaging and take off the cap.
Open the cap to the mask and inject the serum from the syringe into the mask, slowly.
Close the cap to the mask.
Remove the mask from the packaging. Apply it to your face and smooth as necessary.
Leave on for 20+ minutes.
Remove the mask and lightly pat the essence into your skin.
Seemed like a lot of extra work just to soak the sheet with extra essence, but whatever. The important thing is that it worked. This mask is intended to give intense hydration, promote skin elasticity, and lift, and I did find that to be true. My skin was left super moisturized from the gel-like essence!
Leaders Illuminating Treatment Mask – Retail Value $4.79
The natural cellulose cotton sheet of this mask made it really easy to wear! It promises to illuminate dull skin resulting in a youthful, brightened appearance. And it actually did exactly what it said it would do! I found my skin to be visibly more radiant after leaving this mask one for about 45 minutes.
Leaders Coconut Gel Mask with Blueberry – Retail Value $6.00
Coconut and blueberry? After reading the name of this mask, I sort of wanted to see what it tasted like. Don’t do that, though — obviously. This mask felt very light, refreshing, and moisturizing. Nothing too harsh here. I enjoyed that the antioxidant-packed ingredients plumped my skin naturally.
This is a mask that I actually gave to a friend to try and report back to me on the results. Apparently, there are two parts to this mask: the sheet itself and its protective layer. It’s also heavier and drier than many other sheet masks that my friend has tried, in addition to being oddly large. So, not a total winner, though it did deliver with creating a healthy glow to her skin.
Verdict: This was my third box from Piibu, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This box always does a great job with curating a varied assortment, and I love trying all of the new-to-me brands and unique treatment methods. I only wish that they would include an info card that details each masks name, value, and ingredients.
Value-wise, this box provided 8 masks for $20.00. This puts each product at a $2.50 value. Pretty reasonable considering that some of the items are worth more like $5 or $6, but I’d love to see more quality masks in the future. Compared to other mask subs that I’ve tried like Mishimask and Facetory, Piibu definitely ranks up there with consistent mask quality. There are rarely any ‘throw-aways’ or huge disappointments.
