Each box comes with a fold-out card detailing the items included:

You’ll also receive a $5 off coupon, which is good for beauty purchases in-store and online. (This month it’s a $10 coupon!)

And just like Ipsy, with each box you’ll receive a new makeup bag:

This one has a fuzzy texture, gold-colored hardware, and a black nylon lining:

Now, on to the items!

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance in Radiant Yellow – 6 ml Value $5.04

MAC Primers can be a bit overdone in subscription boxes, but this one is a welcome change! It’s designed for oily/combination skin, and it’s silicone-free! (The radiant yellow shade gives the subtlest glow, too.)

Lancome CILS Booster XL Lash Primer – .07 ml Value $12.75

This is half the size of the full-size version! And this is a fabulous lash primer. It lengthens and separates lashes to make your mascara look even better.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara – .1 oz Value $8

I’ve received this sample many times in subscription boxes over the years, and I’m always happy to receive more – it is a great formula! Good volume, length, and lash separation – no complaints here! (This is my backup mascara to my all-time favorite tarte Lights Camera Lashes.)

(Although, I would have loved if they paired the Lancome lash primer with a Lancome mascara!)

tarte tarteist Lip Paint in Bestie – 1 ml Value $3.33

The formula is really lightweight, dries quickly, and it is mostly smudge proof immediately. It has a matte finish, and the pigment is fab, too. Here it is swatched:

The cool peachy-brown color dries a little darker than the shade in the tube, so I’m glad I got to try this color – I wouldn’t have picked it out based on the tube color.

BeautyBlender Blotterazzi Pro – Value $10

I love the original beauty blender tool for applying foundation, but this Blotterazzi pro just doesn’t come close to its awesomeness. It’s designed with the same Beauty Blender material to absorb oil as an alternative to oil blotting sheets. (You can clean and reuse it, too.)

I like the idea, but it just doesn’t absorb oil as well as oil blotting sheets do for me.

Chanel Gabriel – 1.5 ml $3.15

Each Macy’s Beauty Box includes a perfume sample as the sixth item. This is a classic floral scent with notes of Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Grasse Tuberose, and Ylang-Ylang.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $42.27 (not counting the makeup bag.) I think that’s a great value for a $15 beauty box, especially since we got a $10 Macy’s coupon this month! The MAC, Benefit, Lancome, and tarte items are all wins for me, too.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Currently, Macy’s is in waitlist mode.

Coupon –  None available for this subscription.

Value Breakdown: At $15 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • MAC Primer: $1.79
  • Lancome Lash Primer: $4.52
  • Benefit Mascara: $2.84
  • Tarte Lip Paint: $1.18
  • BeautyBlender Blotterazzi Pro: $3.55
  • Chanel Perfume: $1.12
  • Makeup Bag – not counted toward value

  1. OMG, the sale items in the Macy’s site beauty section! Why did I even look!?

So much there looks so good, I’ll be paying off my credit card bill for months, lol. 🙂 Or rather 🙁

  2. For some weird reason they kept me subscribed but cancelled my November box. I just cancelled the sub period. They also did that with September’s. I’m done with their horrible service and sub service. Adios Macy’s!

  3. I experienced FOMO when I saw the spoilers for this month’s bag already after I canceled my sub, but now that I think about it, I own the Bloterazzi and the Benefit mascara already, the Tarte lip paint is in an unattractive shade, I am getting the full-size Lancome mascara primer (and a full size mascara as well) in the 10-piece Lancome gift set they are currently selling, and the Gabrielle perfume that I’ve been curious to try really doesn’t sound that exciting (or like something that would appeal to me personally) from the description above.

And interestingly enough (and I wasn’t even aware of this promotion at the time of purchase), I received $10 in Macy’s money today for my purchase! So even though I am not getting the coupon in this box, it’s as if the universe has evened things out for me, lol. 😀

  4. Does anyone know what to do if my credit card didn’t go thru? Their cust service is horrible. Should I assume they won’t retry again? I am bummed as I like this month! My account says cancelled. Even tho I didn’t cancel it. This billed way ahead of time before I had a chance to enter a new credit crd.

  5. I keep going back and forth if I should cancel or not . I’m pleased with this months bag and the 10 $ off is awesome. I’m really happy i didn’t cancel.

  6. Well, this box makes me wish I would have stayed subbed. Everything in it is useful to me and I like the bag.

  7. I really like the Macy’s box, and have found a few great items to try that I normally never would have picked up otherwise.

Love the plain black bag, and already used my $10 off coupon.

Lash primers are my new thing and I’m loving this Lancôme one!

  8. I know I’m in the minority, but I’ve been very happy with this sub and I always use the coupon.

  9. I have dry skin, so I use my Blotterazzi to touch up my makeup. Especially around my nose and mouth. Works great!

  10. Glad i canceled last month.

    • I canceled too and I’m 100% NOT sad about it.

  11. ooooh….I didn’t order this but would have liked it. The Lancome Lash Primer is fantastic…btw

  12. I like the bag this month and will definitely use the $10 coupon.

  13. Gave this box a shot and did it’s first two boxes . The first bag was nice but the second all the print on it came off . Made
Very poorly . Glad i cancelled , i don’t see the contents having improved at all either .

  14. I feel like the samples are very small and I don’t see the contents much different from Sephora Play! sub. Why pay extra $5, when you can get the same thing from Sephora?.. imho

  15. I just came off the waitlist this week. Do you know if I will get November or December as my first box?

    • According to their FAQs, you will get December as your first box.

      • Thanks.

  16. Hmmm…..I kind of liked this bag. I would use everything that was in it, the bag is nondescript yet cute to me and the coupon whether $5 or $10 could be used for later bigger purchases. Ill keep my eye on this subscription for more reviews.

  17. I am so glad I cancelled last month. I’m getting the Mac prep primer in Ipsy. I’ve received that same Tarte lippie already, same color even. I’ve got that mascara before. Even the bag isn’t as cute as they have been. Macy’s is late to the sub game and sending things that have been sent out several times before. No regrets or fomo here!

    • Ditto!

    • Yup!

  18. I wasn’t impressed with my first few Macys bags so I dropped it since I didn’t feel like i was getting my money’s worth. I woukd have liked this one though…just my luck. Lol.

  19. Hey Liz!

How do you come up with the Value Breakdown?

    • (Value of the item/total value of the box) X (cost of the box) Hope that helps! 🙂

  20. If no one is going to use their macys 10$ off card I would love to take it off your hands!

    • They aren’t 10, they are only 5.

      • This month is was $10.

      • this months review clearly shows a 10$ off card.

    • Sorry..I just read it’s 10 this month. Of course the month they cancel on me! I really hate them now!
