An info card was included listing each item in the box and the reverse side of the card was a coloring page of animals outside.

Boox November 2017 Chirri

Boox November 2017 Chirri

Chirri & Chirra, The Snowy Day by Kaya Doi – Retail Value $15.95

I love that Boox sends brand new releases. This book was just published this month! Chirri and Chirra is translated from Japanese and is a beautifully painted tale of a magical snowy day. Chirri and Chirra have an adventure when they take their bikes for a ride and discover a door made of ice and go inside. This book takes you away and feels so special. I now must buy the other two books starring Chirri and Chirra; I’ve fallen in love with Kaya Doi’s work.

Winter Is Coming by Tony Johnston – Retail Value $17.99 (found on sale here for $9.61)

A young girl who demonstrates that she is a budding naturalist observes the animals getting ready for winter. She watches them day after day from her tree house, taking notes with great patience. Her sketchbook is her companion as she peacefully accepts the changing seasons. Beautifully written and illustrated, this is a book to cherish.

Boox November 2017 Plush

Boox November 2017 Plush

Stuffed Jackalope – Retail Value $16.99 (found on sale here for $9.45)

This plush jackalope is about 9 inches long and has soft fur and antlers. It fits right in with Chirri and Chirra’s fantastical winter world.

Boox November 2017 Cocoa

Treehouse Chocolate Drinking Chocolate Pouch – Estimated Value $3.00 (buy 6 pouches for $18)

Nothing welcomes cold wintery weather more than a mug of hot cocoa. This drinking chocolate was much more rich and delightful than the kind we typically buy at the supermarket. It has a deep, rich flavor stemming from the organic cacao sourced from Northern Peru. I might have to purchase some more of this to have around the next few months.

Boox November 2017 Stickers

Chirri and Chirra Stickers – BONUS

What a darling set of stickers featuring Chirri, Chirra and some of the animals they meet on their snowy day adventure!

Verdict: Boox hasn’t let us down yet! We loved both wintery themed book selections this month and the extras. The retail value this month is $53.93 (less with sale prices) which is above the cost of the box ($35.95 a month with free shipping in the US). We love Boox’s thoughtful book selections and their themed curation every two months. I highly recommend this delightful subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box was still available!

  • Chirri & Chirra, The Snowy Day: $10.63
