These are two separate shipments of the monthly subscription!

The shipments arrive with an information card about the subscription itself, and not about the clothing - but you'll be getting basic each month.

Let's start with the darker tone shipment that we received.

Basic Man Shirt

The Basic Man shirt is intended to be a hybrid of an undershirt and an everyday tee.

The shirt was soft and breathable - I really liked wearing it as an everyday tee (I wore the white shirt further down in the review as an undershirt).

Basic Man Boxer-Briefs

The second monthly item is a pair of silky smooth boxer briefs.

They're tagless and made with modal fabric. They're REALLY soft and comfortable. My biggest gripe is that they're just too short for me - but there isn't an option to get a longer leg for the underwear, unfortunately. If this is the style you wear, though, they can quickly become a favorite.

Basic Man Socks

If you read my review, you might know that I love getting socks in subscription boxes - so, of course I'm excited to try a new pair!

I LOVED these mid-calf socks. They're light, breathable, but still were warm enough in this cold weather - and they did a great job of staying up on my leg.

Ok - that is package #1 of 3 monthly basics - here was the second version we received:

Basic Man White Tee

This was identical in material to the first shirt, but had a slight v neck - and was perfect as an undershirt.

All of their clothing has this "Destroy By" tag as well, make sure you remember to change it up after a year or so of wear.

Please Note: The package had two sizes of shirts for us to try - but you'll only receive one per month.

In addition to the shirt, we also receive a second pair of the same underwear reviewed above - but instead of mid-calf socks, we got their no-show option:

Basic Man No-Show Socks

While we're out of the 'no-show' sock weather, I still use these when working out indoors - so I'm still more than happy to try them.

It's the same construction and feel as the mid-calf version - I like them!

Verdict: This is a great option to keep replenishing your basic essentials. I found everything to feel really high-quality - but I do wish there were some customization options out of the gate. Currently, you can't control the color of the clothing, the neckline, sock length, or length of boxers - those are some important details to me! Overall, if you're comfortable getting any iteration of these items and need to replenish your essentials each monthly, then this is a great value at $20 shipped - and you can skip months if you're filling your drawears a little too quickly!
