I think they must be doing these variations to avoid creating a waitlist. Most people hate being on a waitlist. So many people jump in and out of membership that it must be hard for Allure and other companies to keep inventory of how many boxes they need each month.

I actually got 2 too cool for school items in my box. I got s fave mask and a big tube of the moisturizer. Love both.

JuJu

Yes, that’s what we were supposed to get – two Too Cool for School items.

maybe they should send out the tarte blushes we have been waiting for before making more promises of gwp’s lol

Lisa Smith

Yes, I’m hoping!

On the phone with customer service right now. They say they are out of blushes and they’re sending out a “makeup kit” instead. Total BS. SO upset, really deceptive business practices. Until November 15th they were advertising the Tarte sign up bonus (a month after I signed up) and only NOW they are realizing they couldn’t fulfill those orders? I literally only signed up for that full sized Tarte blush.

I just called and they told me that the blush was in warehouse preparing for shipment. Same thing that has been said for 6 weeks!! Lady said they ran out and just got more in. So what’s the truth? I give up. I don’t even care at this point but will NEVER purchase anything allure related again!

Wendy

YES to this!! I’m at 6 weeks and counting.

Ellie

Same Wendy- 6 weeks and nada.

I got my box on Monday, the Too Cool for School variation, and I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve been subscribed since May.

I got the same box and I’ve been subscribed since June. I love it! I’m so excited about everything.

Valerie

If this is my box, I’m canceling. I’ve only been subbed since July and THREE items are repeats? The only one I would really want again is the lip scrub. Definitely disappointed seeing this.

I’ve been subscribed as long (subbed in June first box July). I did not get Too Cool products. Ended up with the second variation. Actually bummed. I added a second subscription and have two identical boxes.

If you’ve been subscribed that long, I would think you’ll get the one with the Too Cool for School products. I’m thinking they simply couldn’t get enough of those for the newest subscribers so they went into the archives.

Jessica

this is only my second box from allure and i got the too cool for school box so i dont think your theory is right lol

B

I will never escape Cargo blush.

I wouldn’t be mad if I got this variation… I LOVE that Wander Beauty lipstick! When I got that in my Allure box this summer, it ended up being the PERFECT my lips but better shade, but my toddler daughter got into my purse and applied/ate it all about 2 days after I got it! I cried, haha. I still can’t bring myself to spend $30 on a replacement though, so getting this variation would resolve that dilemma!

Elena

I received the first variation today. I feel like I win the lottery at the very least. What a thrill… I hope Allure is not going to do this again. Too much nerves really.

sara

I haven’t received mine yet, and it’s totally killing me! lol Nerves due to variations must cease to be, Allure! No more variations, please!

Mary Jane

I haven’t even received my October box and they are already scrambling for November boxes. I’m definitely cancelling after this month!

josieagogo

I haven’t received Oct or Nov either. They definitely charged me for both though!
Every time I email I get a canned response that does not actually answer any of my questions.
I will cancel and demand a refund if I don’t receive within the next week. I just signed up too, so this is my first experience with Allure. So far they are terrible.
It sucks I was looking for to Oct and Nov boxes.

Try calling them. I emailed them multiple time about my missing October box & all I’d get is they would send it soon. I called them last Friday & received the box on Tuesday.

Melissa W.

I actually cancelled, in hopes for a Better than Black Friday deal from Allure!!

How much is a Tarte blush ? $29. Boom ! here goes your mystery gift Allure

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Hmmm, I kinda like this variation more than the Too Cool for School variation that I got.

Elena

Completely different November box??? Variation #3?

Reply ButtonReply

SBR

Cleaning out their random leftovers IMO… 4 of these items are repeat (3 from Summer – maybe even the same box).

Reply ButtonReply

Nadie

Yup, the cargo blush, lip scrub and wander lipstick are from July :/

LB

I thought the same thing. Instead of parallel variations it seems like they are going in waves. People that were subbed before Nov start got the first spoilers with the Too Cool For School and when that sold out, new subs got the second one and now that’s gone so this is the variation. The items in 2 and 3 are repeats from previous boxes. Just my theory….

Reply ButtonReply

Donna

I have been subbed since the beginning of the year and I received the second version. I think it’s more like they sent the first version to the new subs to keep them subscribed to Allure.

JuJu

I guess they’ve oversold the November box? And no longer have the Too School for School items they advertised for November months ago?

I don’t know, this is weird, I’ve never seen this sort of thing with Allure before.

I suppose I am glad that I didn’t subscribe today – these are all recycled items from past boxes, except maybe the lipstick I already have them all.

Christine

A bunch of people have been signing up to get the Jaclyn Hill curated December box so they are running out of inventory for November.

Most of these products are recycled products from the last year.
