Did anyone get the Laura Mercier mini powder that didn’t want it and would trade for anything from September or August’s Box?

I noticed all the people complaining about getting a too dark foundation seemed to have their profiles set to fair.
And I almost, ALMOST set mine to fair but at the last minute thought, ‘Fudge it, how often do I get a foundation that’s too light?’ And set mine to porcelain. I’m guessing mostly only these people got the 677 box. Just a thought though. Anyone get the 677 box with their profile set to ‘fair’ or ‘light’ skin?

Wow, even though my box sucked, I have to say that Sephora has great CS! I wrote an email complaining about the crappy quality of this box and recent boxes, how they are not curating them to profiles, the incredible overload of primers and Sephora products that keep coming…they credited my account for an extra 100 points.
When I wrote back and asked if I could return my box bc there isn’t one thing I’m going to use, they wrote back they are giving me a one-time refund, and I don’t have to return the box! I guess I will stick around one more month~

I got 677 and was delighted with everything. I think Sephora has really cranked up their game in the past couple of months. I’m finally really enjoying this sub after being underwhelmed (and jaded by too many beauty items). I love getting a foundation sample. I’m not sure the shade will work, but it should at least give me an idea how it applies. I wish more beauty subs gave foundation samples!

On my play play profile it said I was getting box #677. I ended up getting #941! Wth Sephora! This is the last one for me for a while. I’m canceling and actually going to go ack to allure I think. They have actually seem like they have been having some great boxes again lately. Better than Sephora anyways.

I didn’t get any of the skincare stuff which is actually what I really focus on… I never do a “full face” or “beat it to the gods” etc… just highlight and eyes. 🙁
Also really wish I got the bye bye undereye.
BUT absolutely THRILLED that I got the cover fx illuminating drops. 🙂

I got box 925 and I love it! I plan on using the UD priming spray at night after washing and before serum, much like a K-Beauty essence. It’s got great ingredients in it! Sunday Riley serum oh yesssss! Both the MFO foundation and IT concealer match (I was hoping to try it in last month’s Ipsy but Sephora sent it my way 😀). I have the original Bye Bye Under Eye and it is a bit heavy but with a light hand I can spot treat and skip foundation/cc cream/bb cream and just use that so I’m excited to try the Illuminating concealer. The Sephora micellar water is a welcome little bottle. I have a large bottle of another brand but I adore micellar water so I’m good with it. That Gucci perfume! OMG! 👍👌💚
I think I might have to splurge and buy the full size. It’s rare that I get a perfume sample I like so much. Good job for me this month Sephora 🙌☺

I got box 677 and it’s amazing. Finally I get the good variation. The makeup was a 100% match to my skintone so I will definitely buy more when the sample runs out.

941 here. meh beyond belief. I am sick of illuminating primers – I have oily skin, I dont need to illuminate more.
bye bye sephora play. The last 5 months have been pretty dismal. I will come back when you get better.

I’m not getting my box until the end of the month. This box has really, really been a failure lately. I’m sure I’ll get another ridiculous shade that they claim matches my profile.
Like you, I’m out.

It’s time for me to cancel as well. My profile states I have fair skin. What am I going to do with foundation in Dark Sand and a concealer in Medium?!?!? Byeeee Sephora.

I wish Sephora would do two types of sub for Play – one which is makeup focused and one which is skin/hair care focused. I cancelled my subscription late last year because I was getting too much makeup which I stopped using years ago. I do, however, adore really good skin care.

Laura ,
Macy’s beauty Box has a lot of skin care. This months bag was all skin care .

Anyone want to trade for my #925? 🙁

Getting 941 and I won’t use ANY of it. Anyone with 966 want to trade the whole box?

Me either. I call this the “QVC” box as most of these items are brands they flog day in and out. If one says they have dry skin and get Mineral Veil then you know Sephora is not creating boxes based on profiles.
More crap for the trash.

Anna
Right?! I have SUPER dry skin and got the mineral veil. I also already have 3 out of 5 of the products. This is my first month and i was super excited. Excited just to be let down. I guess Ipsy will always take the win.

Man, I JUST got my “IT’S SHIPPED!” email. Due on Saturday which means the post office will sit on it til Monday >:(

Well, I lucked out on this one! Box #677 includes the shade R230 – which happens to be the exact shade I already use. Now I have a mini to carry around! Also very happy about the Becca primer. Everything in this box will be usable.

I’m pretty mad about getting 941 considering I have fair skin checked in my profile. Of course all Sephora can do is give me points and refund my money. But I probably should have received 677 based off of skin tone which makes me even more upset!!

Same here.. Fair skin and 941 box. Even though products from a different box showed up initially (677) in my sephora account. I sent a complaint and they didn’t even offer to refund me $, sent back a standard response initially saying “just fill out your profile and we will send you the right box”. After another email from me (my profile has been fully filled out for the whole time “‘m a play subscriber, a year +). In return they gave me 150 points. Very disappointed.

I’m confused; I just checked my page and it says I’m getting the same items as in 677 (shade R230 which is perfect) but my item number says 925…
Maybe check yours too? Not in the app but on a mobile browser, go to Sephora Play, click on current box, and it should show what you’re getting. I hope what the site says is true, not this spoiler, lol!

My browser just updated to show the contents that match my box number. For days it was showing contents for box 677. See a below thread. Other people had a similar issue.

I received 677 and I loved it all…even the foundation color is right (but that doesn’t matter cuz you can go to Sephora and get your right color) anyways this is the box I imagined Sephora would create!!
Reply
Gabriela
100% makeup? Other than that, it seems to be an “okay” box. I’m medium, so hopefully the color matches. Last time they sent foundation I got something like 5 tones darker than my skin tone, so I really hope they get it right this time.

How do you know which box you will get?

Log into your Sephora account and look at the most recent order. The box number you receive is the last 3 digits of the order number. Hope this helps. 🙂

Mine says 845 but can’t find that number anywhere 😕 This is my first box and the comments have me freaking out thinking it’s gonna be 👎🏽👎🏽

That is NOT what the Sephora site says Box #958 contains!

Mikayla
Usually on the website it only shows one variation. Mine usually under the play thing showed the wrong box… I assume they show the same thing for everyone no matter what box you get. This one might’ve been 677 for all

Rina
Update: Checked the website and seems like they changed it as soon as I received my shipping email. The items are the same as the box 958 spoiler!
Rina
I agree! I’m Box 958 and for some reason on the website, the products I got are the ones in Box 677. Haven’t gotten my box yet though.
-MUFE shade R230, Laura Mercier setting powder, Cover Fx in Moonlight, MUFE Ultra HD Skin Booster, Chanel perfume

😂 I knew I would get the one thing I said I didn’t want the It cosmetics product. Like I said it will go to my daughter in law , she loves it. Box 677 is awesome and I would have loved everything. But on a good note the foundation is the perfect shade for me can’t wait to do a full with it the Becca primer and the bareMinerals mineral veil to top it all off

I really hope the shade for 925 is wrong. I am DEFINITELY NOT a Y335. I’m much lighter than that. And yes, my profile is up to date. I wonder if there would be a way to trade it in store for the right shade? I’m totally happy with any combination of items from this month but the foundation was truly what I was looking for the most. Here’s to hoping my shade will be lighter, lol 🙂
Happy unboxing to all!

Yet again I am deeply disappointed in my box this month. If I wasn’t aware of some of the other box options I wouldn’t be as bothered, but what I don’t understand is why there is such a crazy and vast discrepancy in the content and frankly the value of the products in the boxes. I ROUTINELY end up with Sephora collection products in just about every box, and other people are getting something like box 677 which has all prestige products… it is just frustrating… I can understand adjusting the skincare items to suit the person’s skin-type, but there is zero reason why someone should be receiving an amazing box with CoverFX drops and Laura Mercier powder and a BECCA primer while I am getting yet ANOTHER Sephora Collection makeup remover and a minuscule (maybe 2 uses MAX) sample of vitamin C serum… I’m also tired of getting makeup that is the completely wrong color for me even though my profile is completed correctly… and customer service is not helpful at all… I am starting to think it is time to cancel

You can go in store and ask for a sample of the right shade. The sample in box is more about testing the formula to see if it’s enough coverage, doesn’t irritate your skin, has the right finish, etc
