The invoice has contact info if I have any questions on my box and shows me as a reoccurring order. It is a pretty standard invoice.

Black Silver Threaded Turban (retail price unavailable, but I found a similar style on eBay)

I have been trying to muster the courage to try incorporating more hats into my wardrobe as of late. It has always been a challenge for me due to my big ol’ pumpkin head. Ask my mom! She tells people how she had to get separate hats for toddler me because snowsuit hoods never fit my ample noggin. So, when I saw this Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard-style turban, I was a bit intimidated. The stretchy fabric’s silver threading makes it a standout piece. I could seed this turban pairing well with a flowy, fringed kimono with skinny leg jeans and flats or with a bell-sleeved crushed velvet dress.

Glitzy Spoopy Spider Earrings - Retail Price $1.99

These earrings definitely are creepily glamorous, aren’t they? They aren’t necessarily earrings I would wear on a regular basis, but they are fantastic for Halloween! Sadly, this pair’s quality is a bit questionable. While I was unboxing them, a rhinestone fell off of one of the earrings. I reached out to Pinup In A Pack on the matter and they apologized and promised to send out a new pair. They gave me the option of the black I received, gold, or silver as well. I selected the black replacements. Their great customer service doesn’t go unnoticed with me. I really appreciate their promptness and how they handled this situation.

Retro Black Bead necklace (retail price unavailable, similar style on Etsy)

This plastic bead necklace is a great piece for Halloween costumes, but also for all year round! I was concerned this necklace wouldn’t fit my neck; it did but it is a bit snugger than I would prefer. The clasp was a task to turn to do and undo. It took me a few minutes to get it on and off. A necklace like this is common that it could be easily found at a retail chain like Claire’s or Kohl’s. That being said, I do feel like goes great with the other styles included in this month’s spooky selections.

Verdict: I loved the Halloween theme to this box! I liked the old Hollywood style turban the best; it seemed like the most unique piece in this month’s box. The box cost is $19.99, which makes each item worth over $6 - a reasonable value. I am impressed with the good customer service I received regarding the earrings as well! Any business that is accommodating and willing to assist in matters like this win me over. I am eager to get my replacement earrings and also to see what’s in store for November’s Pinup in a Pack!

I love your look! Your hair looks awesome with the bangs and the great red color (I’m a redhead myself!) 😀

I do wish this box was a little more pin-up… or at least what I have in my mind’s eye of a pin-up look.

Siren, Sorry that I somehow didn’t see your comment! Thank you! My hairdresser slays at what she does. Redheads have more fun, don’t we?

And I hear you on that. I am working on November’s review right now, so you may like the selections in that box a bit better. It should be up in a few days.

Oh my goodness! I love her hair, too! Seriously thinking of getting her bangs. So pretty!

Awwwwe, thank you, Jaime! I am biased, but I love bangs and totally encourage you taking the plunge!

You look lovely! I think the turban looks great, and honestly I’ve been tempted to try one recently.

Those commenting about the theme, I think the aesthetic is supposed to be more 40’s retro, rather than just pin-up – but that’s just a guess.

Hello there, Jackie! I guess my comment back never posted. I am a month late on realizing that, but I guess better than never? Oops!

You should definitely try them out. I have found a lot of cute ones on Ebay myself. I just bought a green sparkley one on there and it was only a few dollars.

And yes! I think that is what they were going for. Like 40’s pin up meets spooky fortune teller. That is my guess at least. I am working on the November box review as I type this. It should be up in a few days. Thanks again for checking out my review!

Wow! You are really looking gorgeous in the turban picture. I think turbans are actually very old Hollywood/pin up. I don’t really want to wear one though.

It seems to me that this box has a challenge as far as curating goes… most people who like pinups/ vintage are pretty savvy shoppers at places like thrift shops, in their grandmas closet, etc. and probably have basic beads, bandannas, stuff with cherries on it. The pin up ideal has been boiled down to such a narrow look that the creative/ committed types going beyond the obvious are likely diy-I guess their look. It would be funny if they sent vintage looking temp tattoos in the box as that seems to go hand in hand with pin up interpretation these days!

Alex, I totally can see that. I think there is a notion that pinup style is rigid. Like it is either Wanda from Cry Baby or nothing.

I feel that the theme this month is very costume-y since Halloween is so close. U am hoping their game is upped a bit for the holiday season. We shall see!

I agree! Nothing pinup about this and a turban? Rita Hayworth is rolling in her grave.

I wouldn’t pay a dollar for each item. None of the items scream pinup to me.

I do feel the necklace is pinup style for sure and the turban even. The turban reminds me of old silver screen actresses and IG user @laurenloveserik. I do feel this box fell short compared to last month’s, but I do see these pieces in pinupstyling. The spider earrings are a reach, though. Thanks for checking out my review!
