Dia & Co. Plus Size Clothing Subscription Review – September 2017

dia and co september 2017 Women's Plus Clothing Subscription Box

Dia & Co. is a monthly clothing styling subscription service for plus sizes. When I signed up for the service, I filled out a fairly in-depth questionnaire about my likes and dislikes, my size, my price range, and other questions that might help my stylist. Every month my stylist sends five pieces for me to try out. The service fee is $20 per month, but that fee is applied to any item I decide to keep. Additionally, there is a 20% discount if I decide to keep all five pieces!

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your package from Dia & Co. may be completely different!

I love Dia & Co.’s new packaging and printed material! They always make everything look so pretty. It always feels like such a special package!

This is the note I received from my stylist this month, Damaris, explaining why she chose each item. She also gives really helpful styling suggestions!

This is the invoice for the items they sent this month. It shows each item and the cost to keep, plus the cost of the items totaled. Then at the bottom it shows the total with the styling fee credited and the 20% discount for keeping all five items. The discount this month would be $104.50 if I kept all five items. That’s a deep discount!

Malibu Boho Maxi Dress by East Adeline – Cost to Keep $49

This maxi dress is so pretty, and such a good price! It’s a poly / spandex blend, so it’s very comfortable also. The print is not my personal favorite, but it looks like it would work really well for fall.

Nichole Fringe Kimono by Dex Plus – Cost to Keep $59

This cotton kimono is very much my style, and I think it looks pretty good on me. I just don’t know about all that black with the fringe and lace detailing. It makes me feel a little like I’m in mourning.

Darien High Rise Skinny Jeans by Jessica Simpson – Cost to Keep $79

I really like the wash on these jeans, and they are super supportive. I think this is the first time I have tried Jessica Simpson jeans, and I think I like them!

Emily Pleated Blouse by B Curvy – Cost to Keep $79

I love this chiffon blouse! The print is absolutely beautiful, and I love the details at the center seam and cuffs. I think it fits and looks good, too. I just wish it wasn’t so spendy!

Jessee Patched Denim Blouse by Love and Legend – Cost to Keep $72

I think this could be a fun blouse for the right person, but this is just not for me. It doesn’t fit well, but even if it did, it’s not really my style. Plus I don’t like chest pockets that much. Cute patches, though!

Verdict: Dia & Co. is one of my favorite subscription boxes, and this month was no exception! It was once again a mixture of hits and misses, but I think that’s typical of any styling box. None of the pieces really blew me away this month, but most of them were good. Overall, I have been very pleased with Dia & Co. They have excellent customer service, and their pieces tend to be more reasonably priced than a lot of other styling services.

What do you think of Dia & Co.? What pieces did you get this month?

  1. I just received the same dress (different color) in my Dia box, but mine was priced at $69!! What the heck! I even checked my price sheet, and they are the exact same name. I already “kept” it, but I wish I had seen this price difference before!

    • I’m dealing with the same thing, where my boho maxi dress ( the same as hers but different color) was marked at $69 as well. I contacted customer service and they said they needed the persons name and email to look into their account before they change my pricing. That is ridiculous!

  2. OMG Anna, your expression in the denim shirt says it all! Love the pleated chiffon blouse (although I’m not a fan of the tab sleeve that just won’t seem to go away!)

The jeans look good so I’d keep them if you’re in the market for jeans. These subs each seem to send a pair of jeans per month, even when you tell them NO MAS!

That kimono harkens back to Stevie Nicks in her “but does it cover me enough?” phase.

The dress looks fab on you but I say “Maxi for thee, but not for me!”

  3. I love the dress and pleated blouse on you-those are keepers!

  4. Their site says discount for keeping all is 25%. Which would be more like $85 off $340, unless I missed something! And the only thing I’d vote to keep is the fringe kimono. Is it black or gray?

    • The other $20 is the styling fee. Technically, she already paid that amount (it’s charged before they send the box), but if she didn’t get anything, she’d lose that money anyway.

  5. I can’t get the polls to load.

    • Me either, and I love them! 😢

    • Me either. I think there is a glitch.

The maxi is stunning on you. I’d keep that and return the rest. Chiffon top is cute but overpriced in my opinion

      • Thanks SquirrelyGirl! And thanks for or letting us know about the polls!
