Ambrosia Contour Plus Bra, Size 46DD
Last month I received my first Adore Me box, and if you read my review, you probably know I had some sizing issues. I tend to get bras at Lane Bryant in a 46ddd, so I figured that would translate. I had a lot of gapping in my last bra, so I opted to get this month’s in a cup smaller and also received a replacement for August’s selection as well.
Let me tell you, it is strange being in between sizes! I got measured at Curvy Con and was advised I am a 44G for the Truust brand, so I really am not sure what my definite bra size is lately. Good news is that this bra and my replacement bra fit far better. I didn’t have the gap in my cup for either bra like I did last month. This time around I chose my absolute favorite style bra— the balconette. I fell in love as soon as I saw this bra’s gorgeous color combination of the Robin egg blue and yellow. It has such a glamorously retro style.
The fabric is satin like and the cups aren’t molded like a lot of bras I have that are a bit more structured. I absolutely love the cute bow and the flirty yellow lace details on the cups.
The strap isn’t as thick as last month’s selection but has four rows of fasteners which still offers a great deal of security and support. The straps are also adjustable, which is a total must!
Ambrosia Panty, Size 4x
I got these bikini/hipster cut panties in a larger size because I prefer “granny panties” that cover my robust posterior. I am all for full coverage and not feeling like I am going to slip out of my bottoms. These are very similar to my selection from last month’s review in the cut and the see-through mesh back; only these have a slight ruching down the center where the yellow bow detail is. The panties have the same satin material as the bra with lovely matching lace and bow accents on the front. They also are incredibly comfy and have a bit of stretch. I love the ultra-femme details and style of this set.
Verdict: Since getting a replacement for my previous review’s bra and trying a smaller size for this month’s selection as well, I am even more excited about Adore Me. I’m in between sizes, so having a reasonably priced option for stylish bras and panties is a bit of a blessing! $39.95 for a bra and panty set is far less than what I pay for a bra alone at Lane Bryant. Being able to order a set monthly without going to the mall is such a savings of not just money, but my time. Also, if an item doesn’t fit—no worries! Adore Me offers free returns along with free shipping. What isn’t there to love about their service?
