Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, and they send similar brands that range in the $75-300 range. In the style profile, you can choose your preferred price range for each category (ie. $50-100, $100-200, or $200+)

So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected eight items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! This month I decided to try everything she selected.
This packet was included in my trunk.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep. There is also a reminder to provide feedback on their web site or app about how well each item worked for me.
On the back of the invoice are instructions for returning the items I don't want to keep. I can drop my box back off at any UPS location, or I can schedule a free pickup through the Trunk Club app!
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Denim Release Hem Dress by Two by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $129
My husband thought this dress was super cool, but I felt super self-conscious in it! It's just too body conscious for my tastes. This denim has a high spandex content! I keep dreaming there is a denim dress out there for me, and I have tried many in styling boxes, but so far, no luck. The unicorn hunt is still on!
Side Ruffle Lace Inset Tee by Sejour - Cost to keep $69
I really like this top! I love the colors. The chiffon is a little sheer, but not obscene. It also has a nice blousy cut without looking frumpy or too boxy.
Stretch Corduroy Ankle Skinny Pants by Slink - Cost to keep $98
It seems like every styling box I get these days has something from Slink enclosed, and I am having a huge internal conflict about whether I like Slink or not. My current favorite pair of jeans is from Slink, but the majority of things I get from Slink, including these pants, don't fit well. I guess it depends a lot on the cut! I guess the skinny cuts just don't work for me. If I change sizes it makes some part too big, but if I stay with my usual size there's some part that's too small. In any case, I am not in the market for tan corduroy pants at this time anyway.
Print Dress by Daniel Rainn - Cost to keep $79
OK, this is not a dress. This is clearly a top on Nordstrom, so there must be a typo on my invoice. That being said, I really like it! It's flattering and totally my style. It's also made from a really sturdy poly blend, but it has a soft yet structured feel. This is an easy choice for me!
Cold Shoulder AOP Blouse by Michel Studio - Cost to keep $68
I didn't think I would like this blouse when I saw it in the box, but now that I have tried it, I really like it! It's a poly blend, but yielding. It's kind of flattering, I think, and the print is growing on me. Of course, I like the cold shoulder detail, too!
Embroidered Peasant Top by Evans - Cost to keep $49 (marked down to $29.40 on Nordstrom)
Sometimes the least expensive piece in the box is my favorite, and I think that might be the case this month! I think it's a little too long, but otherwise, I completely love it! I especially love the embroidery. It's so feminine and pretty, and I love the colors.
Crisscross Hacci Knit Tee by Bobeau - Cost to keep $59 (marked down to $35.40 on Nordstrom)
I like the rough feel knit fabric in this tee, but otherwise, I think it's pretty unremarkable. The color is not really good for me, and it looks kind of frumpy. Maybe it's too big?
Lace Up Blouse by Foxcroft - Cost to keep $76 (marked down to $45.60 on Nordstrom)
Ahoy there mateys! Check out this red pirate blouse! I think it looks pretty good on me, but I don't think I can pull it off. I feel kind of silly in it!
Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! This month, as usual, was a collection of hits and misses, but I think I found a few really good pieces. I love the embroidered top and the Daniel Rainn top! I also was surprised by how much I like the print blouse. I think Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces.
What do you think of Trunk Club? What pieces did you get?
