Each month of The Collector’s Case has a theme or featured franchise(s). This month’s theme was Cosmos.

Their information cards come in a faux manilla folder looking card – inside, you’ll find everything that’s in your box along with items that you may have received.

The back of the card reveals some information about upcoming boxes!

Chill’n Am I Shirt – Value $15?

A chill Yoda in aviators? Sure! This month’s shirt features the legendary Jedi!

Trap Jaw POP – Value $9 on Amazon

I had almost bought this POP a month or so ago – so I’m really happy to find it inside the Cosmos box!

This is just a great sculpt in general. Growing up with Masters of the Universe pretty much guarantees that I love this Trap Jaw POP!

I’ve yet to begin to build this collection out – there are just so many POPs – so this will be my first in a future collection.

Rocket Dorbz Figure – Value $9 on Amazon

Everyone also gets a second Funko figure – and it’s Rocket Raccoon!

Raccoon, Trash Panda, however you want to describe Rocket – he’s looking great in Dorbz form.

Star Wars 20 Questions – Light Up Jedi Holocron – Value $17 on Amazon

While the card lists a Sith Holocron, I actually received the Jedi version.

Pop in the batteries and start your game of 20 questions. This includes information from Episodes 1-6 and the tv shows – so there’s a lot of content for the computer to try and best you with.

Space Invaders D6 8-bit Dice – Value $8 on Amazon

You’ll get the coolest dice set for a retro gamer ever featuring Space Invaders!

I don’t play a ton of board games at the moment, but these are some fun dice to use with any game you’d like.

Women of Star Trek 50th Anniversary Trading Cards – Value $8-10 for both packs

You’ll get two packs of Star Trek cards featuring female characters throughout its history.

The cards have details about each featured character.

It also gives you a chance to pull a special card – I got this Miramanee metal card!

Angry Birds Star Wars Fun Pack – Value $10 on Amazon

Each of these Angry Birds fun packs includes a dog tag with chain + 2 stickers. You’ll get one funk pack in each box.

There are 24 dog tags to collect with these mystery assortment fun packs.

You’ll always get two stickers with each pack as well.

And a checklist to help you complete the collection.

Meta X Justice League Trading Card Game Demo Deck – Value Free

The link above will explain more about the game and how to get a demo deck for free – so I’m assuming that all demo decks could be obtained for free.

It comes with cards, a board, and instructions to get you and your friends going with this trading card game.

Verdict: This was a great month for Collector’s Case! As a Funko fan, anytime I get two Funko items in a box, I’m pretty delighted – so this month was no exception! There were a few bonus items that could’ve made your box even better – A Boba Fett Computer Sitter figure and a Walter Koenig autograph – did you get either one?

What did you think of the August 2017 Cosmos box from The Collector’s Case?

  1. Eric, do you have any plans to visit the new Funko store in Everett Washington? My husband and I live about an hour north of it and visited it this past week. It was amazing! A must see for any pop collector. Also, great review!

    • I really want to but we’re pretty far away – if I’m ever in the Pacific Northwest it’s definitely on my to-do list – it looks amazing! Thanks for reading!
