Ursa Major Brighten Up Vitamin C Serum (1 oz.) – Value $54.00
This light facial serum comes out as a creamy consistency, not clear like oil. It’s a yellow color and has a bright orange essence with a hint of bitterness, just like freshly grated orange zest. This serum can be worn alone as a daily moisturizer or layered with another facial moisturizer or night treatment for an extra dose of protection. The serum is 100% naturally derived and leaves skin feeling brightened, softer and more elastic. Our weather here in NJ right now is unseasonably warm so I’ve been sticking with more lightweight moisturizers for now and this serum applied right out of the shower in the morning is just what my skin needs to feel soft and smooth, with no greasy residue.
Akar Lush Balance Toning Mist (1.7 oz.) – Listed Value $40.00
I’ve never been quite sure when to use a facial mist, but this one smells and feels so fabulous I will have to fit it into my daily routine. Simply shake the bottle then spray 3-5 times on a freshly cleansed face. I was happy to see it doesn’t contain any alcohol which irritates and dried out my sensitive skin. My skin felt fresh after using the mist and if over time it helps with some fine lines then that will make it even better.
Verdict: I was so happy to see items by Ursa Major and Akar this month, both are brands I was introduced to by Clean Beauty Box since my subscription started. They’re brands I’ve come to rely on as effective and well-made with ingredients I want to put on my skin. Clean Beauty has full-size products, amazing customer service, and beautiful packaging, what more can you ask for? The $94 value this month is more than double the cost of the box ($39 a month). Hands down my favorite subscription box ever!
