First, this pamphlet included shares all of the products that you will find in your box. The theme for August theme is “Dorm Delights” so in this box there are many snacks that would be perfect for your dorm or wherever you live! On the back, you will find a coupon for 20% off.
Another nice-to-have item included in this box is this “Snack Sack” tote bag. This is a pretty nice bag to use for groceries, lunch, or whatever else you might need.
Coupons are usually included in these boxes, so I was happy to see there were a few in this one as well. Also, a fun sticker!
Even though this says that the flavor is a “hint” of lime, I found it to be very lime-y. It wasn’t bad, but it was just too sweet/tangy. Of course, if I would have tried them with salsa or guac, it might have been better. On their own, it was just slightly too much.
Cosmos Creations Sea Salt & Butter Puffed Corn, 1 oz. – Value $1.49 (buy a 12 pack for $17.88)
I was not a fan of these puffed corn snacks. They were far too buttery for me. The flavor was also a very fake tasting butter, it almost tasted like a very buttery ear of corn on the cob.
Brothers All Natural Peach Fruit Crisps, 0.28 oz. – Value $0.99 (buy a 24 pack for $23.99)
I have had the apple kind from this brand and I liked them, but I thought the peach tasted strange. The smell was sweet, but the flavor was pretty bland. These aren’t something I would reach for when I am wanting a snack.
Hippeas Siracha Sunshine Chickpea Puffs, 1 oz. – Value $1.17 (Buy a 24 pack for $28.07)
These were really good! I have had these snacks before, but not in this flavor. The flavor was spicy but not hot, and really crunchy. Really good!
Bobalu Nuts Cherry Lemon Peach Almonds, 1.8 oz. – Value $1.20 (Buy a 24 oz. bag for $15.99)
These tasted like candy almonds. Maybe if the flavors were different I would have liked them more, but I am not a fan of cherry, peach, or lemon flavors generally. When it comes to nuts, I mostly like something simple or savory. Not a fan.
Bobalu Nuts Roasted & Salted In Shell Almonds, 1.2 oz. – Value $1.25 (Buy a 4.3 oz bag for $4.49)
I have never had an almond still in shell, so that was cool. These are classic roasted and lightly salted almonds. Really good and classic!
Primal Kitchen Chocolate Hazelnut Bar, 1.7 oz. – Value $2.49 (Buy a 6-pack for $14.95)
The flavor of this bar was a little bitter, but still pretty good. Not something I normally go for with a snack bar, but I liked it. It wasn’t super sweet, but it was dense and filling.
Nothing But The Fruit Real Fruit Bites – Mixed Berry, 1 oz. – Value $2.64 (buy an 8-pack for $21.10 on Amazon)
Nothing But The Fruit Real Fruit Bites – Strawberry, 1 oz. – Value $2.02 (buy an 8-pack for $16.15 on Amazon)
I have also had these little fruit snacks before, though not in these flavors, and I really like them! They taste just how they are described and are chewy and tasty. They’re definitely something I would keep in my purse for a snack.
Lotus Bakeries Classic Biscoff Cookies, 0.9 oz. – Value $0.26 (buy an 8.8 oz package for $2.59)
OMG, these were so so delicious. Cookies like these are my absolute favorite kind of cookie. They tasted like a combination of ginger snaps and graham crackers. Apparently they are very popular to eat with coffee in Europe and I completely get that. IN fact, I am probably going to have to go out and get a package today!
Earnest Eats Cran Lemon Zest Baked Bar, 1.9 oz. – Value $1.79 (buy a box of 12 for $21.50)
When I look for a snack bar, I typically lean towards a nutty chocolate granola bar, but this one was so delicious. The lemon flavor wasn’t too overpowering and the slight tang of the cranberries was just enough too. I would definitely buy a whole box of these to have around.
Once again, a vegan snack bar that I actually like! I can’t believe my luck with this box. There are many new items that I like so much AND that are healthy. This was perfectly delicious and tasted very much like an oatmeal raisin cookie. Now, while I am usually not a huge fan of oatmeal raisin cookies, I did like this bar a lot.
I love these little squeeze packs of peanut butter. I have not tried this brand before I received it in my box, but I really liked it. I don’t think I would make a sandwich from honey peanut butter because it’s a little too sweet, but as a snack like this, it’s good!
This is a pretty handy little snack box filled with veggie chips and garlic hummus. The chips tasted like every other veggie chips I have had and the hummus was okay. I didn’t like the way the hummus comes packaged in this paper squeeze tube, a lot of liquid came out before the hummus. It needed stirred up which is not easy to do in that package. Other than that, it’s pretty good!
Verdict: Overall I liked this month’s SnackSack box. While the savory snacks weren’t quite my favorite this time, all of the sweet ones were really good. The cost of this box is $22.00 including shipping while the value comes in at approximately $22.38. The value and cost are pretty much the same which is typical for snack boxes. With something like this I think you are paying more for the convenience as well as being able to try new things you may not have had before. I definitely think it’s worth a try!
