ShoeDazzle is a monthly shoe, clothing, and accessories subscription service. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gives you better prices – almost everything is only $39.95 (or less) for VIPs. When you sign up for a membership, you complete a style profile. On the 1st of every month, they release new styles and you can pick any item you want - either from your personal 'Showroom' or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.
This model is similar to how JustFab, Fabletics, and AdoreMe work.

This month's order includes a basic invoice with ShoeDazzle's return and exchange policy on the back.
Over Labor Day weekend, ShoeDazzle offered a VIP-exclusive 50% off sale (how convenient since you have to place an order by the 5th of each month)! What a great chance to try more than one style. But one downside is my order took almost an extra week to ship out due to demand. This is definitely not the norm, though.
ShoeDazzle also included a coupon for Blue Apron. I've never tried this meal kit, but I always enjoy Marne's reviews. 🙂
Anita Bootie, size 8 - VIP Price: $39.95 (retail price: $59.95. 50% off price I paid: $19.97)
The first pair of shoes I chose this month are these brown faux suede booties. Now, I stare at two other pairs of heeled brown booties in my closet that I rarely wear...so why choose these? The main reason is those ruffles! It's a simple detail, but I absolutely love the pleating running down the outside of each shoe. And a second reason is the 1.5" heel. These fit true to size (I normally wear a size 8) and they are super walkable and comfortable. These will easily become my go-to bootie this fall.
I styled these boots with a top I just recently got in The Golden Tote. I love how the top's ruffle is mimicked on the shoe. It makes for a stylish yet feminine outfit! This shade of taupe make the boots very versatile, but if you prefer, they are also offered in black.
Maxinne Flat, size 8.5 - VIP Price: $39.95 (retail price: $59.95. 50% off price I paid: $19.97)
I've been wanting to try a pair of oxford shoes for awhile, and oh man, after seeing them in metallic gold, I was sold. I'm not usually that flashy, but really like to take risks in footwear. In reality, these shoes are much more yellow than what's pictured on ShoeDazzle's site. So much so, that they come off cheaper-looking than I'd like. I'm really glad to have only spent $19.98 during the VIP sale because I'd likely pass or being super disappointed with the $39.95 price tag. If shiny gold isn't your thing, this style also comes in plum wine and leopard print.
I've learned from past sneakers that ShoeDazzle's flats run small. So, I ordered these in an 8.5 and they fit great. They're a bit stiff putting them on, but fine to walk around in. A pair in size 8 would have been snug.
Regardless of the yellowy-gold, these are super fun to play up an otherwise basic outfit. Here I've styled them with skinny denim and a sweater I also just recently got in The Golden Tote, along with a necklace from Stitch Fix (review coming soon!). A head-to-toe clothing subscription box outift for the win!
Verdict: ShoeDazzle continues to be one of my favorite subscription boxes to receive each month. I am able to pick, literally, whatever I want and as long as my total exceeds $39.95, shipping is free! The retail value this month is $119.90, but I paid a VIP price of $39.94 (with free shipping) due to the Labor Day weekend VIP sale. Without the sale, I would have paid about $80, which still feels right on the money for the quality of both pairs of shoes, particularly the booties.
