Peachy Box includes an info card with descriptions of the contents and the theme for the month. This month’s theme is “Garden Variety”. I could smell the floral scents when I opened my mailbox.
Let’s check out the items!
Ohana Mahaalo Eau De Cologne, Anela Makana, 30ml - Value $19.99
Anela Makana is one of two scents subscribers received this month and is a combination of rose, muguet, and green apple. I would describe it as a bright, citrusy floral and I really enjoy it. It has the potency of a body spray, which is preferable for me than a perfume, and it has a good bit of staying power. The bottle is a great size and value and is so pretty!
Little Charm Fragrance Hand Cream, Maria, 1.2oz - Listed Value $14
Is this not the most darling tin?! And, there is a whole line of them in all different scents. This scent, Maria, is super subtle and reminds me of the clean scent of babies. Is that weird? I don’t know how else to describe it. The formula is light and absorbs completely with no greasiness. It seems like a tiny amount of product, but a little bit goes a long way.
Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask, Rose - Listed Value $1.80
This sheet mask promises to improve moisture levels by 113% while leaving your skin looking smooth and radiant. I struggle with dry skin so that is exactly what I need. After 20 minutes, my skin felt hydrated and smooth. I masked before applying makeup for an evening out and my makeup went on so well.
Etude House Damask Rose Mask - Value $2.50
Etude says damask rose has been used for toning and brightening skin for ages and that is exactly what this sheet mask promises to do. It’s hypo-allergenic and "7-free" (free of Imidazolidinyl Urea, Polyacryamide, Triethanolamine, mineral oil, silicone oil, pigment, fragrance). That is good news for those with sensitive skin. With the popularity of sheet masks and their inclusion in subscription boxes, I feel like I can jump on the K-Beauty train of masking multiple times a week. Who doesn’t want glowing, hydrated skin? My skin felt plump and so smooth after this mask.
Evolvh Herbal Haircare Set, 2oz each - Listed Value $16
This shampoo and conditioner set is natural and safe for color treated hair (no sulfates). The website describes it as suitable for any type of hair from thin to coarse and curly. The key benefits come from their pHytoBlend (proprietary concentrate blend of 20 herbs in an aqueous base) that includes nourishing antioxidants, plus amino and fatty acids restore hair from the inside out while providing anti-aging benefits. My hair did feel soft and moisturized after washing with this set and the floral scent stuck around for the whole day. Tip: If you don’t get the foaminess you want with the first shampoo, rinse and repeat with a small amount and you’ll get tons of foam.
Live Botanical Rose & Chia Cleanser, 2oz - Value $18
I am always on the hunt for cleansers that rinse clean but don’t strip my already dry skin. This is a great option. Full of nourishing oils and vitamins, this non-foaming cleanser rinses clean and leaves my skin feeling velvety and hydrated. Despite the flecks of chia seeds, there is no grittiness and the scent is a light fresh, floral and not overbearing at all. I still needed to remove my more stubborn makeup with a swipe of eye makeup remover first, but that is part of my normal routine anyway.
Bubble Luxury “Love is in the Air” Bath Bomb - Value $4
Another win for Peachy Box for including an Etsy maker’s product! This bath bomb has scents of rose and Ylang-Ylang with bits of dried rose petals that make for a pretty, milky bath. I like that the ingredients are simple and natural and that the fragrance lingers subtly even after rinsing.
Verdict: Peachy Box really knows how to put a theme together. Everything fit the “Garden Variety” theme perfectly not only with the packaging but also with the scents. The total value was $76.29 with free shipping. That is a higher value than the past few months and I can tell in the quality of the products. Like last month, Peachy Box has included some artisan products that are available from small sellers on sites like Etsy, which is great! I hope Peachy Box continues the upward trend of value and quality of curation and also continues to introduce subscribers to new products.
