This box comes with an individual card detailing each item. First up:

Rose et Marius Silver and Porcelain Bracelet in Blue Casteu Design – $290 Value

This is Luxor Box exclusive design launch! (These bracelets won't be available for purchase until later this year.)

The piece is handset in France. The porcelain tile is measures .5" by .5" and the total bracelet length is 7" max. The metal is sterling silver.

The craftsman is the quality you'd expect from Rose et Marius - stunning! And the piece is surprisingly delicate considering it features a tiny porcelain tile!

Here it is on:

One thing to note: my wrists are on the small side, and this bracelet is a great fit for me, so this may not fit all subscribers.

GreenMarket Purveying Co. Apple Cardamom Candle – Value $16

This soy wax candle has a burn time of 45-50 hours. The scent is basically fall in candle-form! Apples with clove, nutmeg, and dried cardamom.

Bittersweet Velvet Pumpkin – Value $19

This little pumpkin is adorable! It's so tiny and cute! It measures 3 inches across, and the velvet fabric is super luxe!

(It's also super popular on swaps right now!)

Cloth & Paper Fab 5 Pack Greeting Card Set - Value $24.50

Cloth & Paper Note Notecard Set - Value $7.90

Cloth & Paper Blush Foiled Recipe Cards – Value $12.90

Greeting Card Set

This greeting card set features 5 flat card designs with black envelopes:

(Cloth & Paper also has a subscription box if you are interested in their stationery - check out our reviews!)

Note Notecard Set (Set of 12)

This is a basic but classy set of notecards on quality cardstock.

Blush Foiled Recipe Cards - Set of 12

The recipe cards are a blush pink card stock, with gold foil print.

Each card is double sided with areas for recipe title, ingredients, directions, and cook time.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $370.30. I think that value is great for a $139 luxe box. I'm a little torn on the verdict for this box, though. I love everything included and I think the little pumpkin and candle included are perfect fall box items. But $290 of the value of the box goes to the bracelet, so the rest of the box seems a little light in comparison. Typically with Luxor Box, I'm used to at least 2 high-value items per box, so the balance feels off here. And if the bracelet isn't a good fit for you, that's a problem. (But, to Luxor's credit, they made sure to spoil that item up front.)

Basically, I think this comes down to whether or not you love the bracelet. If you do, it's like getting the bracelet at a deep discount and before it's available for purchase. Plus you get some extra fab fall goodies, too. If the bracelet isn't for you, this box is probably a miss.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, as of today (9/25), your first box would be the November box.

Value Breakdown: At $139 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Bracelet: $108.86
  • Candle: $6.00
  • Pumpkin: $7.13
  • Card Sets: $17.01

Just cancelled this box. That bracelet was a joke and they won’t do anything about it. I may take it to a jeweler to have a longer extender put on it because there will be so many to trade, most people will be stuck with it. What a waste of money.

Maybe you can try selling your bracelet for 10% of the “retail value.” I cancelled my sub too after this bad box and disappointing practices. It seems like a lot of other people are unhappy after this one. I wish the bracelet was at least my taste, but looks like it will be this year’s White Elephant gift for our Christmas party. I don’t know anyone who wants it because they are afraid it will chip or break very easily. Not very practical for daily wear.

I pointed out in the spoiler post for this box that it looks like they counted the paper products as 3 separate items. My box had a lot of space that could have been used to include another item or two instead of being filled in with a LOT of white shreds.

Hey all you long time Luxor subscribers…. Has there ever been a Luxor Box with 9 or even 8 items? I can’t even remember one with 7 items in it, offhand. Not saying there wasn’t…. but Whats the highest number of items they have ever included in a box? Seems like they always low ball it. I am not counting the components of a set either. Like the HD plate set is NOT 4 separate items… lol. The Plate set is one item to me.

Yes…. My favorite sub box ever… I was the January 2016 box… It had the throw, 2 candles, hand cream, scarf, snowflake mug, socks, 2 bath salts, and hot cocoa

That was awhile ago….before my time. I dont think there has been over 7 since I joined last summer. That January 2016 box was one that sucked me in. It looked awesome.

Too many white shreds nowadays for me lol

Canceled after a long journey with Luxor…. Shady shady shady practices this month, scrambling customer service, and a disappointing box with only FOUR items–no matter how they try to sell it. Next thing you know they will be saying the individual recipe cards counted as 12 separate items and the greeting cards were 5 separate items so actually there were over 20 items in the box lol. Customer service claims 6 items in the box, yeah okay… whatever helps you sleep at night.

My own review: I agree with whoever said the bracelet is tacky, plus it doesn’t fit half the population apparently. Risky item for such a high box RV. People would really pay $300 for that thing? The rest of the items were low RV filler. The pumpkin was cool, would have been nice if it was bigger rather than such a tiny size. The cheapest they could afford apparently. The candle wasn’t exactly a NEST or luxury brand. The card set felt like closeout inventory that could appear at any retailer. Recipe cards = useless and will be repurposed. My 70 year old mother doesn’t even use recipe cards in this day and age.

I really had to question Luxor in order to cancel a box (only have ever cancelled a box due to disappointment twice now out of dozens of subscriptions). I think them scrambling to change their website yesterday when someone pointed out the 5-9 items description was the nail on the coffin. Mystery boxes so many times throughout the year now, it’s no big deal to get one…. weaker and weaker bi-monthly boxes. Same brands on rinse and repeat.

And trust me.. people are going to be upset when their trip vouchers from the Travel Box are not the dream vacations they think they are going to be. Speaking as someone who tried to use a similar trip voucher, the terms are horrendous. I am sure some people will be fine, but a majority will have some sort of issue with how their “luxury trip” turns out. Outcries over vouchers are coming in 3…2…1.. October is around the corner.

If it wasn’t for the shady website change and dodgy customer service, they’d still have me as a customer today. I can live with a box that isn’t my flavor, but not deceptive website edits “coincidentally” after someone points out the obvious.

Would you be interested in trading your bracelet? I’d love to trade for one. Feel free to message me on the forum. This is a link to my profile http://forum.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/profile/discussions/wldflowur13

Did anyone else notice that Luxor just discreetly change their website. Instead of the monthly box guaranteeing 5-7 items, they just switched it to 4-9 items.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

Yes. The minute someone called them out on it, they changed it. Shady.

KM

They CLAIM that the paper set was actually 3 separate items LOL…. What a joke. The last minute scramble to change their website just shows cowardice on their part. Obviously something else probably didn’t make it into this month’s box for whatever reason, and it was just easier to dance around the issue instead of admitting any fault or error at all on their part.

Adeline

Ok, the bracelet is pretty but seriously it looks like a pretty painted kitchen tile that can be purchased at the flea market for $5. Certainly no where close to $290 retail value. Great gimmick though.

They could tell me that bracelet RVs is $10,000 or $300, I can’t even sell it for $100 on ebay. I saw some sitting for less than $100, too. I wonder how much the platinum’s worth if you melt it down.. probably not even $5.

Lisa

Are you going to try to trade away the bracelet? If so I’d love to trade with you. I have a profile on the swap site and the forum. Click on my name and it should take you to my forum profile. Feel free to message me. I’d love to chat and see if we could work out a trade. Thanks!

Lisa

I’d love to trade for your bracelet. Are you in search of anything specific? You can message me on the forum if you’d like. http://forum.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/profile/discussions/wldflowur13

It seems there have been a bunch of sub boxes including recipe cards recently. When is the last time anyone used a recipe card? Everyone I know does everything online.

If anyone is selling their box, I’d be interested. Thanks for considering!

Wish cloth & paper offered a code. Been wanting to try thrm out. Their July box would have been s bust for me. Possibly August as well.

Renee

I agree with your review Liz. I think Id rather have 2 larger lux items with a 290 retail combined then the bracelet

Terry

I love the bracelet, but I adore the pumpkin! I ordered 2 more from http://www.plushpumpkin.com I had a couple of questions about the colors, and the owner, Monya, called me back tonight. She is a sweetheart!

Reply ButtonReply

DL

I agree! Not my favorite box overall, but I really love the bracelet. Plus, I think discovering Plush Pumpkin was another bonus. It’s not really my style, but I know my mom would love it so I’ll probably place an order with them before the holidays. I do wish Luxor would include coupon codes for the brands they include. (Maybe they have before and I didn’t notice though.) There’s definitely been some brands I’ve enjoyed discovering and a discount on a first purchase would be lovely.

Terry

Check out the website and call Monya. I called to ask to choose colors bc I got cray cray saturday, ordered other pumpkins without realizing there were choice of colors.

She called me back tonight and is just lovely.
