This month’s theme is “Ready, set, go!” With the change of weather and kids going back to school, fall is a wonderful time to reset goals, no matter what they might be. It is a great reminder to take some time each morning before you ready, set, go! Also, instead of listing out each snack, you can head over to their website for more info, or to find out how to reorder something you loved!
This month’s box came with a variety of different coupon cards. From HelloFresh, Welch’s Fruit Rolls, all the way to some feature snack brands that you will find in your box. Bonus!
Harvest Snaps Snappea Crisps, Lightly Salted, 0.75 oz – (Buy a 3.3 oz. bag for $2.97)
Nothing artificial here, each crisp is a baked whole green pea! Not only are these snacks gluten free, but they also are high in fiber. I love the lightly salted flavor because you are able to get so much of the green pea taste. Luckily, my son loves vegetables and he absolutely loved this little snack as well. I was able to share these with him for an afternoon snack! These are absolutely delicious with the added bonus of being good for you!
All Natural Salt Water Taffy, 2 pieces (buy a pack of 75 for $14.99)
Salt water taffy takes me back to being a little kid taking vacations to see our family in New Jersey. So I get a little sappy when I receive any, and boy oh boy do I love it! This brand is all natural and packs a yummy punch of orange flavors. Creamy and delicious!
Welch’s Fruit Rolls, 3 pieces 0.75 oz. – (buy a box of 6 for $9.95)
Welch’s fruit snacks are a staple in my house so I was pumped to get 3 of the fruit rolls! These are an easy and somewhat healthy snack that I know my toddler will enjoy. I can toss a few of these in my diaper bag, and he can even eat it on the run at the park or enjoy it on our back patio. No fuss, no mess, just a healthy fruit snack that I know I love and my son loves too! Plus, I received a coupon code in this month’s box for the fruit rolls that I can’t wait to use!
Bobalu Nuts, 1.8 oz. – (buy a pack of 24 for $33.99)
These were very unique! Each bag is an out of the shell almond with a yummy sugar coating. What makes them unique you might wonder? They are flavored with cherry lemon and peach! While I typically like those flavors, I didn’t really enjoy them coated on an almond. I think the overall flavors were too sweet and fruity for me, but I was able to share these with my Mom who absolutely loved them!
Mini Pops Salted Caramel, 0.7 oz. – (buy a pack of 6 for $6.99)
This popcorn is so small and so cute! When I first opened this month’s box my eyes immediately went to this mini pops bag because of how sweet and delicate the packaging was. Inside, you will find the smallest kernels ever. Don’t let the size fool you though, each bite is packed full of salted caramel flavors! This is the type of bag that would be nice to pass out to kiddos at a sleepover so that they can each have their own bag. This was so good I almost forgot I was eating a healthy snack!
PopCorners White Cheddar, 2 1 oz. bags -Value $1.40 (Buy 40 for $24.41)
I have received PopCorners in other boxes and have even bought this brand at the store before! I absolutely love, love, love the white cheddar flavor and was so excited to see that I got two bags in this month’s box. Each crisp is so light and airy like you are eating popcorn and covered in that yummy white cheddar powder. This is a snack that I could eat all the time and am so happy when I receive a bag!
Rise Buddy Sour Cream & Onion, 1.4 oz. – (Buy a pack of 36 for $45.00)
These brown rice crisps were so delicious! I was surprised by how much sour cream & onion flavor were in each bite so this would be a great replacement snack for someone that loves sour cream and onion chips but looking for a healthier version. I also found that these were a great crisp to dip in hummus, but they would probably be great in a salsa as well. So versatile and yummy! I am glad that I loved these so much because I received a coupon code for Rise Buddy in this month’s box as well.
Natural Foods Jessica’s Muffin Mix, 16.1 oz. – (Buy 6 for $41.94)
This is another brand that you will receive a coupon code for in this month’s box. Each bag contains a gluten-free flour bread mix that you only have to add a few ingredients to before baking! I added some honey and blueberries to my mix just for a little extra texture and sweetness, and instead of muffins, I made bread. This mix was so easy to put together and it was delicious! So sweet and fluffy, a huge hit with everyone in my house. I will absolutely be using my coupon code to buy more of this mix!
Think Thin Protein Smoothie Mix, 1.55 oz. – (Buy a pack of 4 for $9.99)
This powder is flavored with banana, peanut butter, cashews, peanuts, flaxseed, chia seeds, and almond protein. All you have to do is put the mix in the blender, add some milk or water, and some ice. I added a bit more milk than what the packaging called for because I felt that mine looked a little too thick at first. While I really enjoyed this mix, I don’t know of a protein shake is for me. I could have made it incorrectly, but I was getting too much of a powder like texture in a few sips. It also had a strong peanut flavor that was a little overpowering. I think next time I would maybe add some fresh banana or honey to break up the thickness of the peanut flavor more.
Kakookie Cashew Blondie, 1.69 oz. – (Buy a box of 12 for $24.89)
I have to say I was a little worried that I wouldn’t like this cookie when I saw the packaging say no wheat, no dairy, no egg. Isn’t that everything that makes a cookie so delicious? I was wrong though, this cookie was incredible! The cashews provided a creaminess that made this cookie so soft and sweet. You also get a ton of the chia seed and flaxseed flavors, which also provide a lovely sweetness and light crunch. This really is a cookie reimagined and boy did I love it!
Verdict: This was my first time trying the Love with Food Gluten Free box and I loved how many of the brands featured were new to me! It is always so great taste testing foods that have ingredients that I don’t usually eat, and I loved that this box got me baking with the muffin mix. An added bonus is that Love With Food also donates a portion of the proceeds to help fight childhood hunger in the US and around the world (like Feeding America and The Global Food Banking Network), so you can feel good that your snacking habits help at least a little bit! I received 10 snacks in this month’s box, which calculates out to about $2.49 per snack for the $24.99 monthly fee. While I don’t think many of the snacks featured would cost that much on their own, you are receiving a great mix of snacks for your whole family to enjoy. Even though the value is a bit lower, you most likely would spend more on each item at the grocery store since these snacks featured all natural ingredients that tend to have a higher price point. I love that Love with Food is bringing new brands and healthy snacks right to your door, I know my family and I really learned a lot about what types of snacks we can eat without the guilt!
