Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that caters to plus size women between the sizes of 10-32. Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. I just started using the service a couple months ago and can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

Exciting things afoot at Gwynnie Bee!
This review is of the one item at a time for two items that I received August 19th through September 15th.
Acid Wash Shoulder dress by MBLM by Tess Holliday, size 3x
When I saw this dress initially I was surprised I was drawn to it because it has two things I normally avoid: distressed faded look and cold shoulders. Initially, I was displeased with the length since it is far longer on me than the model on Gwynnie Bee’s site. After wearing it a few times, it has become a piece I absolutely love. It is so effortlessly cool and comfy! The fabric is a t-shirt material, so it is perfect for long drives or for a late summer concert in the park. Good job, Tess!
Floral Shift Dress in Crimson Red by Taylor Dresses, size 22
This dress has such a fantastic retro psychedelic vibe to it; I simply could not pass it up! Looking at this groovy dress, I can’t help but think of lava lamps, “Incense and Peppermint” by the Strawberry Alarm Clock, but mostly my dear friend, Susan! She lives in the Bay Area and we both share a love for Iggy Pop, Shagg art, and anything retro or vintage from the 60s. When I put this on for the first time, I immediately had to pair it with my gold pointy toe flats and cat eye glasses like I sense she would! This dress is made from a scuba material, so it has great stretch and is incredibly sleek. It is amazingly flattering and can be worn at any shin dig or rock’n’roll show alike! I was so taken with this dress that I bought it from Gwynnie Bee for a cool $38! Talk about a killer deal!
Short Sleeve Crepe Colorblock Sheath Dress by Tahari Asl, size 20w
I go on Tumblr and sift through 60s blogs like it is my job, so when I saw this dress I had to closet it! Imagine if Joan Holloway from Mad Men worked as a stewardess for TWA, this is the dress she would be wearing. This polyester dress has great stretch and the color blocking amplifies one’s curves and creates a va va voom hourglass silhouette. The material is slightly thick and immensely structured. This is a piece that would work fantastically in the office and for most spring and summer special occasions. The color scheme isn’t one that screams fall to me, but I like the dress anyway.
Verdict: I am constantly impressed and extremely pleased with Gwynnie Bee. The ability to rent clothes rather than simply just try them on makes them such a standout service. The turn-around for pieces to be sent is usually in a matter of few days as well. Gwynnie Bee is also wonderful for someone wanting to add business casual clothing to their closet, is in between sizes, or simply wanting to try a trend out without spending big bucks on an entirely new wardrobe. It is a great value and these are only a few reasons I suggest Gwynnie Bee to my friends and peers so frequently.
Are you loving Gwynnie Bee as much as I am? What is your favorite piece you got from them recently?
