  2. I did the July, August and September special fo $30. I cancelled this sub and did one year at 20% off. I earned 1,000 GlossyDots and requested to redeem on Oct. box. I was emailed the next day confirming if I wanted the box in Oct. I replied with a yes and the next day received confirmation that my extra box would be in October. I’ve both emailed and sent Facebook messengers over a missing mascara. It did take about 10 days for a real message response but I was told my mascara would be shipped and I received it within a week of that email. They are sometimes slow to respond and will send a generic message to you first, but they take care of the issue.
    Cancelling my 3 month sub was super easy online and they send email confirming this right away.
    They also sent me an extra box for July on accident. They emailed me and told me to keep the box and it would not count as a month box.
    I think a lot of people are upset with the slow responses.
    They have resolved all my issues in a good way.

    • Slow Responses are the least of their problems. They lie to their customers and take money without their consent post cancellation. They also just totally didn’t send me one of my boxes until I emailed them constantly for two months asking about it.

      They are a total sh*t company, don’t order from them.

      • They’re not taking my money!!

        But they do owe me 1 box…. I would like to at least get that. I was gonna even consider signing up for another 3 month sub.

  3. I got an email confirming my cancellation & it says my final box will be DECEMBER 2017.


    My sub was only till September! I could see October, but I didn’t sign up for another 3 month sub!! UGH

    • That sucks. Yeah, if you had a 3 month sub and don’t cancel by the 14th of your last month, they automatically resubscribe you for another 3 months at full price.

    • Yes.

  5. It’s not a red flag per se, but it always seems a bit shady to me that these “3 months for $15 a month” come out in the second half of the month. This is because of GB’s cancellation policy – someone who subscribes after the 15th of the month is automatically also committing to the next month. This allows GB to have a guaranteed subscriber pool for the following month….and I do think they may be struggling to hold on to subscribers, so they’ve been using this promotion as a bandaid for a few months now.

  6. I have yet to ever send a question to Glossy Box and ever have it answered timely if mostly even answered at all. I remember seeing the Beauty 5 subscription and MSA not receiving any communication. No offense, but I rarely get any communication back. I don’t think the majority of us are needy, but there are times we need customer service.

  7. So I went in to complete my Sept. surveys, have enough points for my free box.

    When I tried to submit my request for the freebie, it says I need an active account. However I hadn’t canceled my account by 9/14 as you’re supposed (I couldn’t since I didn’t get my box till 9/15.)

    I just canceled my account officially, so I guess I wait & see if I wind up with a charge for October & if they’ll let me submit my freebie request after 9/30….

    I would contact CS, but you know this IS Glossybox after all. Le sigh.

    • Nope….. if you read all of my posts on previous threads for this box I address this very issue. They make it impossible to redeem until it’s time to reup your sub. They string you along for another month or months and you have to email them specifically asking to redeem your glossy dots, they reply a few weeks later, when the next months’ payment is due that they will be happy to send you an extra box for the upcoming month, so long as your sub is ACTIVE, of course, thereby guaranteeing yet ANOTHER months payment, and then you eventually get two boxes in one month. Yup….. I tried redeeming Glossydots starting in June this year, and finally got my extra box…for September. Literally the worst month possible for my needs, product-wise. And I got two. Sigh. That’s Glossybox for you. Yet many of us resub because they come out with occasional Awesome boxes that cause major box envy form time to time.

        A new 3 month sub sign up at FULL price, I was not 😑

  8. I wish they would focus on making there boxes better and keeping current subscribers verses offering these promotions to New subscribers so frequently

    September box was awful.

  9. I’ve never been a Glossy Box subscriber and I don’t plan on it, but they seem to constantly be running a sale/deal of some sort. Does that seem like a red flag to anyone else? Like they’re desperate for more customers? I feel like when a subscription is ALWAYS trying to entice you with a deal, they either know they’re not worth the full cost or they’re losing customers. Or both. Just my opinion though.

  10. Worst customer service ever! I had been a subscriber for a few years but never again am I getting sucked in.

  11. This box can barely stack up to play by sephora and ipsy and yet it tries to play itself off as being worthy of being the same price as boxycharm?! I mean congrats on landing Lancome but you’re still only sending out samples while boxy has tarte and mac as full sized items. Not to mention the fact that i’ve gotten old product or super close to expiration items and response from customer service has basically been “Well you wanted to try glossybox this is us”

    • Ugh, but true. That was my experience. Oh, everyone was telling the truth about the customer service, and the issues……

  12. Please, please don’t do it. Glossy Box is a nightmare! Not worth the value, non-existent customer service, and there are so many better subs out there. Do yourself a favor and Just Say NO!

  13. Nothing would EVER entice me back to Glossybox. I used to love them, until I needed customer service. Never again!

  14. So many Glossybox deals out there–wow! I’ll share what I wish I had known before subscribing: The boxes are not worth paying $20+/month. The contents of the box are okay if you’re paying $10/month, but from what I’ve seen you’ll still run into customer service issues regardless. Hope this helps anyone considering a new subscription!

    • Yeah, I kept getting Tree Hut items instead of spoiler items.

      Now don’t get me wrong, there are some Tree Hut items that are great (like the honey almond scrub, which is officially the only one I will ever buy), but I am just not looking for stuff I can buy at Publix from a beauty subscription box.
