Let’s take a look at what’s inside!
Sky Master Mint Leaf Lip Balm, .15 oz. – Add-on Cost: $4.00
I usually have a lip balm on hand and am always looking for new brands to test out; so I was pretty excited to try this from Dollar Shave Club. This lip balm checks all of the boxes on what I look for in a lip balm; it’s minty (very minty this one!), it doesn’t make my lips shiny and has some sort of SPF. Overall, I like this and will continue to use. The mint tingles my lips and they truly do feel moisturized. The price of $4 for lip balm is a little pricier than I normally pay, but nonetheless, this is a good product and I recommend.
Wanderer Calming Body Cleanser – Amber & Lavender, 12 oz. – Add-on Cost: $9.50
I love trying new body washes, so I was excited to test this out from Dollar Shave Club. I was instantly drawn to the lavender smell; I love anything lavender, so I knew this would be a hit! The cleanser, while smelling great, also felt nice on my skin during and after my shower. My skin didn’t feel dry or over-exfoliated, just moisturized. The lavender and amber smell truly do calm – I highly recommend this body cleanser. The cost is a little steep compared to what I normally buy, but definitely a step up and a nice treat for myself.
Boogie’s Casual Hair Clay, 2 oz. – Add-on Cost: $10.00
This hair clay is pretty similar to what I currently use, but definitely smells better, which is great! The clay is meant for short to medium length hair and like the name states, it gives a casual look. I really don’t like when hair clay makes your hair look “hard”, and this definitely doesn’t do that. It gives a softer look, while still staying put! The cost is actually lower than I see for most hair clays, so this is a definite winner and I recommend!
Verdict: This is my second experience with Dollar Shave Club but my first with their grooming products, and for the most part, I’m quite pleased. The quality is high, but so are some of the costs. Nonetheless, quality is great and I can see myself using these products on a daily basis. I look forward to testing out some other products in their grooming section!
Do you know anyone that uses Dollar Shave Club? I’d love to hear more about the other products and what others are saying about them.
