Statement Earrings – Listed Value $15.00
Being a woman with short hair, earrings are a staple in my wardrobe. These are very cute! They are sturdy, the metal is gold, and the stone is a sort of brown-ish green color. I would wear these with the right outfit!
Mother of Pearl Necklace – Listed Retail Value $12.00
The pearlescent gold bar necklace is another great piece that could actually be paired with a lot of different looks. The bar style is still very popular, but with this funky twist, it adds a little something extra. I prefer a longer necklace, but ya never know when an outfit requires something shorter so this is a great option!
Aztec Crepe Tunic – Listed Retail Value $35.00
As the stylists’ at Cypress & 5th now know, I prefer a longer shirt and so they have provided me with this very cute printed tunic. While I don’t love a polyester material, I prefer cotton or rayon, this is something nice to have for those occasions when I might have to dress up a little. I do like the print and the color palette though!
In the Trenches Black – Listed Retail Value $35.00
I have actually been searching for a black rain resistant jacket so I was very pleased to find this one in my package. It’s a little shorter than I was searching for, but I like it nonetheless and will get a ton of use out of this for fall. The material is that sort of sueded feel, it is fully lined, and has pockets.
Hayden Plaid Top – Listed Retail Value $40.00
Like most people during the changing of seasons from summer to fall, I like to add plaid to my look. There’s just something about plaid that makes me think fall! I wasn’t sure how I felt about this plaid shirt when I pulled it out of the bag because it’s not a style of top I have ever tried, but I actually didn’t mind it once I put it on. It’s not my favorite style, I just feel like the front could pop open very easily since it is only secured by a very small snap. Of course, I could always reinforce it by adding my own button or double-sided tape. I love the colors and the material was really soft.
Cloud Moto Jegging – Listed Retail Value $45.00
I received a similar pair of pants in my last shipment from Cypress & 5th so I was a little surprised to have received these pants. The last pair of pants were not a hit for me, but these were not quite as bad. The fit is slim, but not super skinny. The inseam was way more appropriate for me and the material was a little less junior suiting. While these weren’t too bad, these still aren’t a style of pants I wear in my every day. I am more a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal OR straight up cotton lounge leggings. I will probably gift these to my sister!
Verdict: Even though I don’t love everything in this box, I do think that the stylists’ did a good job pinpointing my style aesthetic. As I have gotten older, I am much more picky about the materials I wear so I think that would be my biggest complaint with this month’s picks. The $182 total retail value exceeds the $129 cost of the box. Since you are paying such a steep price for the box anyway, I think that the value should add up like it would with any other retailer. I would recommend this box for a young trendsetter!
Have you tried Cypress & 5th yet? What did you think?
I know you say the jeggings aren’t your usual style, but they almost have a casual dressy look to them that I think looks great on you.
Maybe give to your sister and borrow for special occasions. Lol
Chelsey, do you find the jacket true to size?
I’ve been looking for a shorter rain jacket and that looks perfect. Plus the price is so good! I want that in my life ASAP
I like everything you received. Pricing is nice too. Plaid top looks great on you.
Everything looks great on you! Pricing seems good as well.
Everything looks so good on you! I love the plaid top
