When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. It looks like they have done away with listing your preferences on this sheet, but there is an area where they print any notes you have sent to your stylist for this shipment. The only thing printed here is my Pinterest style board, which is what I sometimes send if I am in a hurry and don't have time to write. In any case, I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Christina. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $428. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $105.60. That's a deep discount!
Stripe Long Sleeve Top in Ocean Depth by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $79
I love the colors in this top, but it's not my style. I don't like button-ups or chest pockets. I actually think it looks pretty good on me, but I don't think I would ever feel comfortable in this.
Catherine Basic Roll Long Shorts by Kut from the Kloth - Cost to Keep $78 (on sale from $118!)
I actually already have these exact shorts! Haha! I love Kut from the Kloth denim because it's super soft and fairly yielding. I don't think I need two of the same shorts, though.
Sleeveless High Neck Keyhole Shift Dress by She + Sky - Cost to Keep $52
Wearing pants with a dress is still a thing, right? Full disclosure, it was about 100 degrees and 95% humidity when I took this picture, and I was not feeling this dress on any level, plus I thought it was a tunic at first. I don't like showing my upper arms, and the front of this dress would not lie flat for the world. I guess that means it is not a good fit, either. The material is also a kind of itchy polyester, so this was an all-around miss for me. It happens!
Hacci Choker Neck Tunic by Emerald - Cost to Keep $48
This was my favorite piece in the box! I love lilac, and I think the cut is pretty flattering. Yes, it almost killed me to put on a sweater in this heat, but it is very lightweight. This will be perfect for the coming (hopefully soon) cooler weather!
Drawstring Pant by DEX - Cost to Keep $69
I actually can't believe linen is making such a comeback! Two minutes after you put linen on, it is completely and irrevocably wrinkled. I like the lounge-y look, but I can see myself getting chronically frustrated with these pants. Plus (of course) they need to be hemmed.
Sleeveless Swing Dress with Crisscross Strap by She + Sky - Cost to Keep $52
Are dresses and jeans a thing? I can't believe I made the same mistake twice! This dress is identical to the pink one in terms of cut, so I liked the cut but dislike showing my upper arms on this dress also. The chest fit better on this one, though. I also prefer the color, and the material was a synthetic blend with more of silky feel. I like this dress much better, but I'm not in love with it.
Splatter Skinny Spike Jeans by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $49 (on sale from $89!)
These jeans are really cute! I don't know if I love the bleach stains, and (of course) they need to be hemmed, but these are seriously nice jeans. I tend to really like jeans from Seven7, they are usually quite slimming.
Verdict: I am really loving my Wantable Style Edit! I am so happy they sent seven items again this month! Unfortunately, this box was filled with almost all misses. I think that happens occasionally with every styling box. At least it wasn't a complete miss - I love the lilac sweater, and I really like the jeans! Hopefully, next month will have more items I love.
