The front of the info card tells the story of this month's featured brand, OSEA.

The back lists the beauty products you've received.

Essential Hydrating Oil, .34 fl. oz. - Value $32

I've been introduced to a few hydrating oils recently, which I previously wasn't privy to, so I'm excited to learn more about what these products can do for me!

This Essential Hydrating Oil from OSEA comes with a convenient roller ball applicator so you can evenly roll it over your face, neck, and decolleté. I'm always afraid of using too much of an oil and don't want it to make my skin greasy, but this was 100% lovely and once I rubbed it in, was light, and not greasy at all.

It has all sorts of wonderful essential oils like lavender, rosewood, and geranium, so it smells super good too.

Atmosphere Protection Cream, 2 fl. oz. - Value $48

They suggest following up the hydrating oil with this product; the Atmosphere Protection Cream, which is a facial moisturizer that protects your skin from dry climates, wind, and even air pollution.

It comes in a pump, so I doled out 2 pumps worth to spread over my face and neck. I normally use a drugstore moisturizer with SPF which I'm totally happy with, but this cream in partnership with the oil is making my skin feel ultra soft and even a bit more taut? I'm loving how hydrated my face feels.

The main ingredients in this protective cream are organic algae, shea butter, and avocado oil, which sounds delicious enough to eat.

Undaria Algae Oil, 1 fl. oz. travel size - Value $16

Oh my, this body oil smells divine! It has many uses, one of which are for keeping your cuticles soft. I am all about nail care, so this is a great product for me. It also just so happens to minimize the appearance of stretch marks in needed areas, and boy could I use some minimizing (not to say that we shouldn't all embrace our bodies any way that they may come).

This 1 oz. travel size comes with a pump to easily disperse the oil wherever you may want it. Since you don't need much, this little bit can go a good ways.

So what is undaria? Its full name is undaria pinnatifida and it's a type of seaweed commonly found in the Pacific Ocean around Japan, China, and Korea. It has a number of vitamins and minerals including iodine, vitamins A and B1, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, and is said to help with tissue maintenance and healthy cell to cell communication. Sounds slather-worthy to me!

Verdict: This month's Pearlesque Box has a retail value of $96, which is an awesome value for a $40! Even better, they bring you the best in natural beauty products that I may never find otherwise. I was impressed by all three OSEA products and was excited to see some full-size items with lovely packaging. I may have found a new moisturizer, and am really coming around to the benefits of a great hydrating oil!

As always, a really good and through review, Marne.

As much as I love the ethos behind the brand, OSEA is one brand that I really wish had a more budget friendly price point. I would have most definitely signed up for this Pearlesque box had a cleanser been included, instead of two oils.

Thanks, C.J.! I agree that a cleanser would have been purrrrfect!

I love facial oils, but prefer to pat them into my skin, so I just roll the roller ball in my palms, rub them together to warm the oil and then push it into my skin. I also have found that (for me) using the moisturizer first and then the oil works better. I have heard conflicting information on which to do first, but found the oil seems to lock in the moisturizer, if that makes sense.

Pearlesque is a bit expensive, but love the products and the concept behind it.

Great idea, D! I’ll have to try patting, as well as swapping out the order to see how I like it!

I subbed to this based upon the spoilers already knowing I loved the cream (so I was already getting a deal), and I love it! The oils are wonderful. I actually used the algae oil as a general body oil since I don’t particularly care for lotion and it gave a beautiful glow to my arms and legs. The roller ball is so gentle for a face oil. Everything smells amazing, too. Yes, this box is a splurge for a monthly subscription, but if it keeps up for quality I think it will be worth it! CS was prompt with responses when needed, too.

Can you still get this box.

I don’t think so, because their cutoff is usually the 5th of the current month, so August 5th would have been the last day to sign up for the August box. But, it wouldn’t hurt to email them to ask!

I’ve really enjoyed this box! I was concerned I wouldn’t like that the oil was in a roller ball applicator, but I actually enjoy it. Also, it really does absorb quickly, which I appreciate. I already knew that I liked the Atmosphere Protection Cream. It’s nice & light, but moisturizing. I haven’t tried the other oil yet, but it looks promising. I love my Pearlesque boxes!

I had to skip August (and probably Sept too) because I got laid off from my job. But I also have a hoard of products to use before they go to waste so it’s probably a good thing… But these products look so nice! Pearlesque is always awesome.

I’m sorry to hear it. 🙁 At least you’re getting your priorities straight! It will be here once you’re working again!
