Nourish Nails Water Based Nail Polish in Breath & Let Go - Value $12.50

Every month, subscribers will get a new shade of nail polish from Nourish Beauty's own line.

This is a water based formula. Here is a bit more on the difference between this formula and your standard nail polish formulas:

The ultimate, ultra gentle nail varnish formulation with a revolutionary water-based resin that creates a high shine coating that is both air and water permeable. This allows for oxygen and water to reach the nail bed to help nails stay healthy, stronger and to help reduce discoloration. The unique nourishing formulation provides a super high-shine coat, long-lasting color and a fast-drying finish.

Here it is on:

Here's what I like about this formula: 1 coat coverage, and quick drying.

What I don't like: It peels off pretty easily after a day or two. But I found that applying a regular nail polish top coat over it took care of that problem.

Thistle Absorb Face - Value $21

This is a very generously sized setting powder! (2 ounces!) It goes on translucent, helps cut back shine, and feels and looks invisible. I'm impressed!

Seraphine Botanicals Sea + Sun Illuminating Vegan Bronzer - Value $16

This bronzer has excellent pigment and good shimmer, too. (The only thing lacking here is the size! These pans are more the size of eyeshadow pans than blush/bronzer!)

Here are both shades swatched:

PEONY Blemish Zapper - Value $26

This blemish zapper is a thin pink clay liquid that dries within a minute or so. (You wear it overnight then rinse off in the morning.) The formula is made with witch hazel and tea tree oil, and those scents are strong! I didn't have a pimple to test at the moment, but I tried it on my skin just to test for any irritation. No issues there! (And I'm sure this will come in handy soon!)

Verdict: This box has a value of just about $75.50 which is great for a natural box that costs $34.95 with free shipping worldwide! I'll use everything, too!

I have been getting this box since it began 2 years ago (next month). I skipped a couple of months earlier this year after they changed up their model. This month was a total disappointment for me. I don’t use nail polish (as a pianist I need to keep my nails short), but the colors that they send certainly are vibrant! I have never used finishing powder and don’t get blemishes. I don’t use bronzer but maybe I can use this as eyeshadow?

Hmmm, Nourish Beauty was one of the boxes that I thought I was definitely going to re-subscribe to in a few months, but I noticed a recent change in the products they’ve been including, which is making me reconsider it by putting it on my “maybe” list instead.

I personally don’t mind the nail polish in every box (as long as it’s a different color), but seeing that 2/4 products for the past few months have been a Peony & Seraphine product doesn’t get me excited for the box anymore. I’m sure they’re great brands, but it makes the box a bit predictable for me, plus I like being exposed to different & unknown/obscure brands that Nourish beauty always included in the past. I think if 2/4 products (at least) were non-So Susan brands (or whatever the parent company name is), then I’d be more excited about this box again. I’ll continue to keep an eye on it, and re-evaluate when the time comes to re-sub.
