This box came with a card detailing the item included, instructions for use, and ingredients.

Now, on to the item!

Le Metier De Beaute It Girls Eye Kaleidoscope - Value $95

Yes!!! Le Metier De Beaute is known for their kaleidoscope palettes, and I'm thrilled to get one in this box!

Here are each of the shades:

This shade is a beige matte, designed to be used as an all-over base, and as a highlighter for the browbone.

This greige shade is shimmery, with excellent pigment, and easy to blend.

And this plum shade is equally shimmery! (And just gorgeous!)

Lastly, we have this deep purple shade. It's mostly matte with a few subtle sparkles. In addition to using this for a smokey eye look, Le Metier De Beaute recommends using a wet flat liner brush to use this as an eye liner as well.

Here are all the shades swatched:

Verdict: This box has an approximate value of $95 for a $29 cost - that's great! And I couldn't be happier with the item this month. It's a gorgeous, wearable, palette - the subscription box dream!

What do you think of the July Beauty Vault VIP box?

Just received my first box for my first LMDB sub.
Kind of disappointing tho… Maybe I set the expectation too high…
The info card said it’s a pre-release of a charcoal and coconut detoxifying mask.
It’s pretty tiny size and not worth the $29 imo.
No packaging at all; just one layer of bubble wrap.
When I picked up the box, my first thought was, was it empty?! Did they forget to put the product in the box before mailing it out?!
Lol that proves how light it is.
Maybe their masks are just that expensive even for a tiny sample. I absolutely have no idea since this is my first haha

I had the same feeling as well. This will be my 4th year with them and its the most underwhelming shipment to start the 1 year sub period.

I was surprised they did not include an extra for previous subscribers.

Hopefully the rest of the months will be better.

I just did a massive purge of subs and only lefts are this one and sisley.

LOL! I have started cutting back as well. I now have more make-up and skincare than I know what to do with…AND I’ve just subbed to Saranghae Korean skincare line that is supposed to be “the real deal” for helping with aging skin. If this range is as good as it sounds, I’ll be letting my LMdB go if they don’t lift it their game.

Has anyone received their August box? I am still waiting for mine.

Curious if anyone has received their first shipment for the 2017-2018 VIP Program? This is my first time subscribing to this subscription, so I don’t know their time table. I’m obviously excited, so I was hoping to have heard something from them, or even better, gotten a shipment. 🙂

I signed up and was charged when the sub opened which I think was May. I have no idea when I will be getting my first box. Does anyone know when the annual sub starts? Thanks!

Rosemary

Yes, I think it does begin in August. I can’t wait for this palette. I LOVE all of my kaleidoscopes.

Thank you! Looking forward to this subscription.

Finally they removed the parabens from the eyeshadows! Now I shall finally be able to consider a subscription next time it opens! Live that they include ingredients too. For the expensive “luxe” subs I really do expect higher quality ingredients and a company that has pride in them

Ooo thank you for pointing that out! I didn’t spend to much time looking at the ingredients, but no parabens is a welcome change! 🙂 (And the formulas didn’t suffer from removing them, either!)

Thank you! I ended up receiving mine yesterday after all (very, very late). I have to admit that I am disappointed as well. If they are going to be sending crappy deluxe-sample-sized items, this will be my last year.
