This month’s theme is “Freedom.” Using blue and white jasper beads, the jewelry in this box intends to conjure up imagery of refreshing waves kissed with salty seafoam. I agree that the light, cool tones of the beads offer a beautifully refreshing vibe!
The products this month are listed on the back of the card. Also included is a card offering a retreat giveaway.
Each piece of jewelry comes packaged in its own organza baggie.
Summer Inspiration Blue and White Agate Necklace - Listed Value $48
The info card in this box claims the necklace’s pendant “resembles the reflective ripples of water rushing over sandy shorelines in the summer sun,” and I’ve got to say, I can totally see it. That poetic spin on the not-uncommon look of turquoise jasper brings new beauty to this piece for me, though I know not everyone is as easily swooned by language as I am! There are some noticeable amber touches veining the blue and white beads strung along this accessory, which tone it down and add some sophistication so that it’s not so in-your-face boho.
Ocean Inspired Beaded Bracelet - Listed Value $22
The bracelet is pretty simple, but it’s lovely! The beads are strung along an elastic string, so it’s easy to slip on and fits closely against my wrist, which is somewhat on the thin side. I had my friend try it on her thicker wrist and it was comfortable for her, too.
Homefree Chocolate Mint Mini Cookies, 0.95 oz. - Value $2.12 (Buy a 5 oz. box for $11.15 on Amazon)
I had a feeling I’d enjoy these mini mint chocolate cookies and boy was I right! They’re the perfect pop-in-your-mouth size, which is good because they’re pretty crunchy and a bit crumbly—might make a mess if eaten in multiple bites. The chocolate has a nice rich, dark flavor to it and the mint is subtle, yet noticeable, and offers a nice lingering cool taste on my tongue.
The bag included 7 petite cookies, making for a great afternoon pick-me-up a few hours after lunch. Plus, they’re free of all sorts of things: egg & dairy, gluten, nuts (including peanuts), soy, GMOs, and “artificial anything.” My diet doesn’t exclude any of those ingredients, but I do feel healthier and happier if I can avoid them, so that was a bonus! They have 9g of sugar for those keeping track.
AUGUST SPOILER ALERT:
Here's a sneak peek into August’s box.
Verdict: This Yogi Surprise Jewelry box is $24.95 and has free shipping for US customers, which seems right on the nose for me. The info card’s listing of $70 for these items strikes me as a hint steep, but the quality is nice and the necklace has the potential of being dressed up, which, to me, adds value. The snack was a pleasant surprise for me; I probably wouldn’t have picked it up in the grocery store before having tried it in this box, but now that I’ve tried it, I just might! So, while I can’t say the contents of this box were a crazy steal, they are lovely items that I can see myself wearing and enjoying, which makes the price worthwhile.
