Now, on to the items!

Clase Azul Reposado 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Bottle

FYI - I'm not listing a value because I can't find the 20th Anniversary version of this bottle for sale on line. (The regular version is around $90.)

This is such a gorgeous liquor bottle! It's a white ceramic decanter that is hand painted with blue accents. (It measures about 15 inches in height.)

And this Limited Edition version has a gold metal stamp and cap:

There were only 7300 bottles made originally, and then an additional amount for Robb Vices subscribers. (Total, there were less than 13,000 bottles of this tequila ever made.)

We had to open this and try it, but you can leave it unopened as a collector's item. (For reference, the Clase Azul Ultra Anejo goes for prices of up to $300 a glass.) This isn't the Ultra Anejo, but it is much rarer.

This tequila is crafted only from Highland Blue Weber agave. It underwent an extra maturation process in sherry and bourbon casks. First four months in bourbon casks, then another four months in sherry casks from the south of Spain.

We're planning on using this to make super classy Margaritas (there's a recipe for The Grande Clase Azul Margarita in the booklet). But, in the meantime, my husband Eric and I decided to try this straight up!

We both found the tequila to be much smoother than any other version we've tried. Thanks to Robb Vices, I'm learning what quality liquor should taste like!

Dardimans Mexican Crisps - Value $2

I've sampled Dardimans fruit crisps before thanks to Robb Vices, and I'm a big fan! There are no added sugars or preservatives, and the fruit is just as light and crunchy as you'd expect from a "crisp."

You can use these in a cocktail, or if you're like me, you'll finish them a minute after you open the bag!

Verdict: I love the presentation and the Limited Edition exclusiveness of this box, but it was a bit of a disappointment to only have 2 items in this box. (And the crisps are delicious but don't really count as a big item for me.)

On a positive side, the tequila is amazing, and our bar cart has never looked better. I feel like the value is definitely there for this box, and I can appreciate quality over quantity. (I just hope that for August Robb Vices goes back to quality + quantity!)

I have received two boxes and neither had the booklet included. Last month I called and they sent it, but I’m not going to bother at this point. Like you said, only having one real item is a bit of a let down, especially as it is my husband’s B-Day present, but it’s still a gorgeous bottle and if the tequila is good, we’ll be happy. A little more upscale than the bacanora we get in old Pepsi bottles.

If I was to sub now could I still get the July Tequila box?

Sammee

No, you would get the August box. But if you sign up for a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription you can use the code FRIENDOFAFRIEND and get a free July box.

This box was a little disappointing since I do not drink. I have enjoyed my subscription for the non alcohol finds and discount codes. This box fell short. The cookbook would have made this box for me.

Robb Vices informed me Aug would not have alcohol….That is the only info they would release.

The tequila was delicious. I don’t buy the $200 value. I think it is more in line with the non-limited edition bottles from this brand, but I still think I got my money’s worth with the included shipping and the 20% discount. Robb Vices is a great subscription for me and my hubby, but not for anyone who doesn’t enjoy all kinds of alcohol (those who ONLY drink wine or scotch, etc.).

I’m kind of lukewarm about tequila, so when I saw the spoiler in the forum my reaction was kind of meh. But when I got my box and saw that large, pretty bottle, I was happy with it. As far as I’m concerned, this was like getting premium tequila that happen to come packaged in a beautiful vase, which is what I’ll use it for once the tequila is gone. The only thing I don’t like is the medallion, so I’ll probably replace it with something I think compliments the bottle more. I do agree with @Liz and other commenters that an additional item(s) would have balanced out the box more. People who don’t like tequila at all probably feel about this box the way I felt about the March heat box. It’s horrible when a box is a total miss; I hope those subscribers will be inspired to use their bottles in creative ways. I think it can be repurposed into a lot of beautiful things!

Your comment made me laugh because this tequila box was a complete miss for me, but my bonus box is on the way and others who got shipping notification the same day for their bonus box got the spicy box, so that is what I’m anticipating, and I am really excited! So anyways your point is very true!

Glad you have a box coming that you’ll love!! My brother in law loves spicy foods so my loss was definitely his gain 🙂

The tequila was outside of my expectation and I’m a wine drinker. I plan to make the bottle into a lamp once I’m done sipping my tequila. This was a fabulous box and the crisps were delicious. I’ll be ordering more.

I started this sub in June for my husband’s Father’s Day gift. I don’t see us stopping it any time soon. We love the Tequila!!! The bottle is amazing. We generally drink wine but are enjoying the quality liquors of RV. An additional item in the box would have been nice but I prefer quality over quantity.

I’m having some serious envy about this tequila!

My fiancé and I were THRILLED with this box! I knew when I opened it and it was only 2 items that the tequila was going to be special. It’s incredible! I don’t even like tequila. The bottle is gorgeous and it’s so limited edition and exclusive. I have it out on display.

It’s an amazing tequila to gift as well. If tequila is not your thing. This would make a fabulous gift.

I love that they included Dardimans again! I’ve since ordered a ton of their dried goods and they’re delicious. Overall we are very happy with this subscription.

I subscribed for the April box as a birthday gift for my fiancé and he loved it so much we kept subscribing. Nothing will ever top the April box with the speaker and headphones, but every box has been fun.

He didn’t love the Rosé and leather box. But I loved the canned Rosé and put the leather in our bar cart. I can’t wait for next months. It’s pricey but worth it.

In all honesty I felt pretty bummed to realize this box was basically one item but the more I looked into it and learned about it the more I realized this is exactly what this box is all about. This isn’t a bottle of tequila you can walk into a store to purchase- it’s an exclusive product that feels very VIP and I’d never purchase a $200 bottle of tequila on my own so this is the kind of experience I pay for with this sub. The only thing that kills me are the lack of spoilers!!’ This is truly my only surprise box and I love every minute of it.

So excited when I opened this box!!! I love tequila, fortunately, and the bottle is amazing. I love the booklets that give back stories on the items and this one in particular was interesting. Am not a fan of rye whiskey in last month’s box but my son was excited to get it. I can always find a family member or friend to wow with a Robb Vices box.
If you don’t want boxes with alcohol, this one is not for you. The other items are so special that I’m glad I subscribe but be prepared to get let down if the alcohol is the hero item. It’s like subbing to a sexy lingerie box and getting disappointed when thongs show up.

The listed value in the book is 190$. It was a complete miss for me. August will be my last box due to finances, but even with July being a miss I have truly loved being a subscriber.

Cat

Wow. Even though I love the idea of the rare tequila, I can imagine how disappointed many subscribers may be who either don’t drink or don’t like tequila. It’s a big risk to only send basically one item.

Jaycee

I really wish they would at least drop a liquor spoiler. Tequila is just a no, for me.

Julie

I like the idea of this box and I love trying new liquors but when it’s not my cup of tea it’s nice when something else is there to enjoy. I love whiskey but the highspire bottle just didn’t do it for me so I loved playing around with the bitters and syrup. As great as this tequila may be I would never pay even the 90$ a box I’m spending now purely for a bottle of alcohol unless I loved it already so I really wish they had thrown in something else that wasn’t dependent on just that. Even an assortment of the crisps would have been great but four peices just felt so empty as did the mention of a cookbook and the site to go spend more money to buy it. Robb’s Vices is kind of starting to remind me of a more expensive pop sugar where I’m either over the moon and thrilled or wishing I had kept the money for a dinner out.

I feel like the cookbook was supposed to be included, otherwise why list it under the box inclusions in the RV brochure (the direction on where to order it was so odd). It certainly would have made the box much more appealing if it had been. Any single item box is just such a risk, especially when the retail value of the item inside is kind of debatable. It sure would be nice if RV sent out coupons to subscribers for a free cookbook from Williams Sonoma – then they wouldn’t even have to pay for the shipping. Just a thought, but maybe I’ve set my expectations too high and I need to come back down to earth and simply be happy with what I have! 🙂
