Something that there’s been confusion about in the past: what items you can use the credit for. There are many many choices that did not come in the box. When you go to redeem your credit, there will be a row of items that were featured in the box. Below that, there’s a page full (and more pages after that) of other choices that says (for example) 1-24 of 274 results for Grocery & Gourmet Food: Children’s Snacks Sample Box. You can but any of those 274 and the credit will automatically show up at checkout. For the Luxury Beauty Box, there are more than 5,500 items that you can use your credit for. Too bad there’s not a box of this type for gourmet sweets!

Because of the sizes these all actually get used in more of a treat fashion. I have 2 basset hounds, 45lbs and 59lbs. A 3oz Little Cesar does not a meal make. So they get a small smackeral of something as a snack one day. Sprinkle a little of the dry food on their canned. Just a bit, you don’t want to add a lot of calories. It punches up the everyday can of food.

Just like people it’s not an every meal type of thing but they seem to enjoy a bit of a change.

“Oooo….look, we got sprinkles!” 🙂

We have 2 large Boxers and we do the same with the Cesar 🙂 We just use it as a topper on their dry dog food for dinner and the love it! They run in there for dinner 🙂 I also use it sometimes if we need to get them to eat something before going somewhere or something like that. They have so many flavors!

Last box was more treats, less dog food. Unfortunately, this one has too few treats. I’ll pass this time.

This one is not that good of a value but I will probably still order it. My local gourmet pet food store had the Honest Kitchen buckets on sale for $1.00!each and I stocked up. They are very handy to keep as an emergency supply. I have an unopened sample of I And Love And You and from a quick scan of ingredients it appears to be a quality food. I’m also curious about the Spot Farms dehydrated food packet. Again, great for emergency back up food.

Joy, I foster dogs and in over 20 fosters I have had only one who had a sensitive stomach to food changes, resulting in slightly loose stools. As long as you are switching between quality foods there shouldn’t be a problem. In fact, I usually switch up my own dogs food from a variety, e.g. home made, variety of canned, etc.

They stopped making our dog’s favorite food, then we found a new one and they stopped making that one too! This is great to try different formulas since we are on a hunt for new food, our dogs have no issue with changing foods quickly so this is a nice box.

This is a strange box. You’re really not supposed to mix up your dog’s diet that much or it can really upset their tummy.

Wish I could, but I’m pretty sure Nyx can’t have any of that.

If they did a cat one, I would be all over it.

Yes! An Amazon cat box! I’d buy multiples….

Thanks for posting, Liz!

I would’ve jumped on this if it was mostly treats. I’m very particular about my babies’ food.
