Avry Beauty Jelly Spa Foot Bath Set, Two 1.76 oz Packets – Value $1.50
I’ve never received an item specifically for pedicures, so this is interesting! I don’t have my own foot bath tub, so I went ahead and used a shallow bucket that I could fit my feet in. Uhhhh, this stuff is BANANAS. You dump the first packet into warm water and it “turns into a marvelous jelly”, as the package states. Everything is purple until you mix it around a bit, then it looks like a snow cone (but it’s warm). After a while, you then dump the contains of the second packet, and everything turns purple again and gets watery again. So crazy! I love it! The lavender scent was as nice as I had hoped, but my skin felt really well moisturized afterward.
Medusa’s Makeup Witch Lash in Black Noir, Full Size (12 ml) – Value $12
Receiving full-size products in a box is always awesome, and I probably replace my mascara the most, so this is a great item for me! I’m used to really chunky wands, but this one is long and sleek. The formula seems to be nice and thick, so it should stay on well! My lashes are certainly more defined.
DDM Cosmetics Ultra Matte HD Kiss Proof Liquid Lipstick, Full Size – Value $7.68?
I’m not sure if this color is brand new, but I couldn’t find the shade I got (“Christine”), on their site. I linked to a different color above. I’m partial to pale pinks and nudes on my lips, so it’s a win for me. However, I’m not sure if this formula is truly “kiss proof” like they say. After having it on for roughly 20 minutes, it still came off slightly on my hand, so I’m assuming if I were kissing anyone (say, a hamburger), it’d come right off.
Manna Kadar Beauty Paradise Blush, Full Size – Value $19.00
I was blown away when I saw the retail price for this blush. Word on the street is that Manna Kadar makeup is everywhere in beauty boxes, but I am new to the scene and new to this brand. I tried out the blush and needed very little to see it show up on my porcelain complexion. This powder can also be applied as an eyeshadow, which I never wear. This color is just my speed, as I am generally kind of rosy.
Here’s a swatch of all three:
Right now the only moisturizer I use is one with SPF that I put on in the morning. I’ve been looking for one to wear at night after washing my face, and this one suggests using it for both. I slathered some of this really light cream on, and it felt a bit greasy at first, but eventually soaked into my skin, leaving it really supple. The price is on-par with other brands found at stores like Sephora, but I’m hoping this little bit goes a long way before I’d have to purchase a full size.
Trind Caring Color Nail Polish in French Manicure White, Full Size (0.30 oz.) – Value $13.00
White polish can sometimes remind me of when I’d use Wite-Out to paint my nails in high school. Trind Caring Color is from the Netherlands, so this is also a new brand to me. The polish goes on well and seems to do a great job of coating the nail that I almost didn’t even need a second coat. Since white is tricky, I went for it anyhow. Again, nice to get a full-size product.
I have dabbled a good bit in dry shampoo since my hair gets greasy quickly and I don’t like to wash it every day. My bangs get especially greasy in the summer when I’m out in the heat. The scent of this travel-sized is probably not meant to smell like anything, but isn’t too baby-powdery or floral. Cake is a Canadian brand and makes sure to leave out talc, parabens, sulfates and phthalates from their products, which are also cruelty-free. It also seems to keep my hair pretty light instead of feeling clumpy.
Sweet Suds Co. Popsicle Soap – Value $8.00?
This size is a bit smaller, so it may have been made especially for Luxe Box. I valued it a little lower because it looks smaller than what they have in their shop. This is a cute pink soap (roughly the length of an iPhone) in the shape of a popsicle, so it goes perfectly in the summer box. (Thanks for the correct link, Cleia!)
Verdict: In this season’s Luxe Box, I received six full-size products and two samples. Almost all of the brands (except Medusa’s Makeup) were new to me, so it was a big discovery box! I valued everything together to be over a whopping $72! Probably the best value I’ve ever gotten thus far since the price per box is $26 (+free shipping). Even though Luxe Box has been available in Canada for a while, the U.S. version is new, and I’m loving how much I got. I’m looking forward to seeing what future seasons hold!
