This month’s Loved+Blessed theme is Sunshine.

Devotional Keepsake Card

The devotional card explains the theme of the box and has the scripture Matthew 5:16 NIV, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” The theme is “Sunshine” and the card explains that the “light can break through darkness” by focusing on the light and joy instead of the darkness and sadness will allow us to have a clearer focus on our situation.

Mini Poster

The mini poster reflects the theme with a beam of sunshine on the side of the card with “There is sunshine in my soul” written towards the lower bottom of the card. On the back it says, “Encourage one another daily” from Hebrews 3:13

Scripture Card

The theme scripture comes from Matthew 5:14-15 NIV, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house”. This is timely reminder for me to keep in mind that I’m a light to those around me and to act accordingly.

Reminder Sticker

The reminder sticker has an illustration of a cloud and a beam of sunshine over it with the words, “be the Sunshine in someone’s cloud”. A great reminder to encourage someone else.

10 Piece Dessert Set

This set is intended for two people, and it includes two plates with “hello sunshine” on the front, two napkins, two knives, two forks, and two spoons. Love + Blessed suggests inviting a friend over for cupcakes or cookies.

Encouragement Kit

Loved + Blessed include an Encouragement Kit with every subscription box. I love the idea of an encouragement kit. It is meant to be passed on to a stranger or as an encouragement for someone I know. Love + Blessed encourages me to use the two enclosed postcards that say “You Are My Sunshine” on the front and mail them to someone to brighten their day. I have a new pen-pal that these will be perfect for!

Verdict: I always love how well coordinated the contents are in this box and how they find the right words and scriptures to encourage me. I particularly like how they are getting me out of my comfort zone and allowing me to encourage someone by inviting them over for dessert. The postcard is a great addition to allow me to connect with someone outside of social media. It will be nice to sit down and write out a thoughtful note to send via mail. There is no set value for this box, but for the $15.99 plus $4 shipping cost you get 6 items (so each item would be around $3.00 in value). This month’s box curation seemed to be missing something. I enjoyed the contents, but there seems to be something that could have been added to the theme of the box. Maybe a journal with sunbeams on it, the shape of a ray of sunshine in a cushion form to use for kneeling when you pray, or a cookie mix with cookie cutters to go with 10-piece dessert set. Just a thought. Overall, a nice box.

I’m curious about this box. My mother-in-law loves Christian inspiration and I think this may be a great box to give a gift to her, but I find religious-themed boxes to generally overuse inspiration stickers/posters/other cheap crap that have little use and wind up in the garbage. I liked that this box included the dessert kit and agree with the other poster that a cake mix would’ve been nice to include (share the happiness and practical to include). I hope you continue reviewing the box. It is nice to see what to expect before subbing or gifting a sub.

I think a cake mix would have been a nice addition to the box. Or even a bottle of yellow candy sprinkles to add to a dessert the subscriber already has at home.

I always enjoy your reviews Nich! Best wishes…
