Five Four Club is a monthly men’s clothing subscription service. You take a brief survey when you sign up (sizes and style preferences), and then each month they send you on average 2-3 new clothing pieces or accessories. For reference, my style profile is “T-Shirt and jeans.”

I've been subscribing March 2013 and in general, I'm very happy with the quality of the clothing and the value - especially the t-shirts. (We’ve found the sizing to be similar to American Eagle’s sizing if that helps!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Five Four Club

The Cost: $60 a month (includes free shipping)

My June delivery had a few new summer favorites!

Santana T-Shirt

My favorite item of the month, and one of my new favorite shirts, is this pocket tee.

I've always really enjoyed how soft and comfortable their shirts are - plus, the fit has always been perfect for me. Add in this little bit of a color pop with the pocket, and we have a winner!

Briggs Relaxed Fit Jeans

I also received a new pair of raw denim jeans.

Overall, they're pretty basic dark blue, with a bit of a tiny color pop with the gold stitching.

If you're tall enough, you won't have to hem these - but for me, I always have to hem their jeans before wearing them. Other than that inconvenience - their jeans are typically nice and soft.

Cielo Socks in Black and Blue

For me, any summer clothing box should come with some low-cut or no-show socks!

These socks are a bit different. The material is super stretchy and breathable - like Under Armor on your feet.

They're low enough not to peek out of your shows, and were very comfortable even on an hour long walk - I highly recommend these!

Verdict: I seriously cannot get enough Five Four t-shirts - so I was really happy to see a new shirt in my June box. Altogether - this was my favorite Five Four shipment this year, and I have already been using a ton of the clothing - in fact, I'm wearing the shirt and socks right now!

Package came quick enough. I got the impression that what typically comes are 1 to 2 items. They ad I signed I signed up with they were adding a promotional $280 worth of clothes. Key word here Adding… I get a pair of pants and a shirt. The shirt shrank 2 sizes after I washed it so couldn’t wear it and the pants… I got better quality at Old Navy for fractions of the price. Then when I cancelled they try to sell me another box at a discount if I stayed. I said if it’s part of the $280 that was promised I’m not paying for it. Of course it wasn’t and I cancelled.

I’m also not happy with the quality or style of Five Four. Return / Exchange policy and procedures are awful. There is just no value in this service.

This is the lowest quality clothing, horrible selections, just total garbage.

I completely agree. cancelled after first order. Would have stuck around, but after searching the website, and chatting with customer service I found returns / exchanges are near impossible.

I’ve never hated a company as much as I hate fivefourclub. The shirts and pants are cheaply made and only good to wear once. They love to send winter stuff in the summer and summer clothes in the winter. Terrible customer service! I tried exchanging sizes and changing my size online multiple times, and every month they kept sending me the wrong size. They also don’t do refunds. So today after 9 months I made my wife cancel what was a birthday present year long subscription. I’d rather burn the money then give them a dime.

What were your preference when you signed up??? :O

First I have put casual, however I switched to Classic. My hubby is going on 52 and not very hip, lol. I also picked blue as his preference. Green is his fave color. Happy wife, happy life.

This was one of my husband’s favorite boxes too. He received a navy and white horizontal tee shirt though. I took the socks though! I absolutely love them. He prefers crew socks. His loss. Good review as usual.
