There's not much information that comes with this box—just the same little flier that comes in every Amazon Sample box. The grocery service sounds cool, doesn't it?

Vega Plant-Based Ready to Drink Protein+ Shake in Chocolate, 11 fl oz - Value $2.47 (Buy a pack of 12 for $29.62 on Amazon)

I've tried Vega protein powder before, and I've enjoyed it pretty well. I actually think I enjoy this pre-made shake better—it seems thicker and smoother than when I mix up the powder (though the powder is awesome in smoothies). The chocolate flavor is rich and tasty, and the twist-off lid can be twisted back on, which is great on the go. Best of all, there's 20g of protein inside this blend of veggies, vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. There is a slight aftertaste from the stevia sweetener, but it's so much more minimal than the myriad of other protein drinks I've tried.

Instavit Sweet Dreams Sleep Aid Oral Spray with Melatonin, 15 ml - Value $25.69 (Buy a 7ml bottle for $11.99 on Amazon)

I'm usually pretty good at sleeping through the night, but if I'm on a plane or something like that, I could see a sleep aid like this coming in handy. The pocket-sized spray bottle, in particular, seems really handy to have on the go. This is an oral spray, so you spritz a bit in your mouth rather than taking a pill or anything like that. At first, I couldn't find any messaging on the package, but then I noticed that you have to peel back the label to see the directions, etc. Phew! I couldn't find this exact product on Amazon, so I linked to something similar.

Force Factor Volcano Explosive Nitric Oxide Booster, 4 capsules - Value $1.18 (Buy a 120 count package for $35.36 on Amazon)

I don't really do the kinds of workouts that would warrant me using a "pre-workout muscle builder," but for those who do, these two doses might be exciting to try. This supplement is supposed to help amplify energy, boost endurance, and improve muscle mass and recovery. It includes a creatine complex, which can help boost muscle mass (if with water) and boost your performance in high-intensity or explosive workouts. These capsules also include something called "Vein Annihilating Energy Complex" which just kind of scares me, haha! If you are someone who uses products like this, let me know what you think! Is this something you'd use? If you're a nutritionist or a personal trainer, what do you think of these kinds of products? I'd love to learn more.

Honey Stinger Gluten Free Organic Salted Caramel Flavored Waffle, 1.06 oz - Value $0.92 (Buy 16 for $14.79 on Amazon)

This waffle is so tasty! I've had thin waffle-like wafers with coffee before (they call them "stroopwafels", which might be the most fun food word to say ever), but this version is specifically branded as an energy snack. It's essentially two super chewy flat cookies sandwiched around a thin layer of gooey honey. This one is salty and toasty tasting, thanks to the salted caramel flavoring. For being so small, it's incredibly decadent and filling. I'm not sure how much energy it gave me, but it definitely satisfied my mid-afternoon hunger.

Tight Xtreme Reloaded Total Body Fat Assault Supplement, 3 capsules - Value $0.75 (Buy 120 for $29.92 on Amazon)

Again, this product isn't really my thing, so I probably won't get much value out of this single serving of "hot caps" (what they call capsules). According to Amazon, this product is meant to stimulate maximum fat burn, enhance mood, and more. The package, however, states that this is a potent product that should be eased into to "assess tolerance." That warrants quite a side-eye from me, but maybe it's not as intimidating for someone more familiar with body building and muscle-building workout products. Once again, if you're someone who uses products like these, definitely comment with your thoughts and experiences!

MuscleTech NitroTech 100% Whey Gold Protein Powder in Double Rich Chocolate, 1 Serving - Value $0.69 (Buy 34 servings for $23.57 on Amazon)

I like protein powders and shakes since I'm a vegetarian and sometimes need ways to get protein in a pinch. This blend has 24g of protein in one serving, which is great, but it does seem more built for body builders or more intense athletes. There's a lot of talk on the product page about building mass and endurance, which isn't exactly my priority. The flavor is nice and chocolatey, but the artificial aftertaste was pretty strong, in my opinion. I'd pick the Vega drink over this one for flavor alone.

Acure Energize Power Meal in Vanilla Cinnamon, 0.95 oz - Value $2.50 (Buy a 14.28 oz package for $37.58 on Amazon)

This shake mix is way more my speed. I love that it's gluten-free, vegan, and full of probiotics. It claims to help you energize, detox, and alkalize (a process I can't say I fully understand, but which I hear is really popular with the wellness crowd). The powder contains 13g of protein (primarily rice and pea proteins), as well as lots of superfood nutrients and just 2g of sugar. The flavor definitely tastes "healthy"—it definitely has a rice-milk vibe—but it doesn't have the weird artificially saccharine flavor that other protein powders so often do. Maybe it's because of the cinnamon element? The cinnamon flavor doesn't really come through, but I think it is distracting from the rice-ness and helping the vanilla flavor stand out.

Evolve Plant-Powered Protein Powder in Classic Chocolate, 1 serving - Value $1.56 (Buy 20 servings for $31.11 on Amazon)

This is just another plant-based option for protein powder, again made with pea protein (so hot right now!). This powder has 20g of protein, 10g of fiber, and 3g of sugar, most notably, and the flavor is a bit more stevia-tasting than the other plant-based products in this box. Still, it's pretty good and gluten-free. I like being able to taste test these proteins at home, since looking through all of them at the store can get kind of overwhelming.

FlapJacked Protein Smoothie with Greek Yogurt in Strawberry Banana, 1.5 oz - Value $2.42 (Buy 12 for $28.99 on Amazon)

Wow, was this a tasty treat! This packet of protein powder ends up tasting like a sweet strawberry milkshake with the tangy notes of Greek yogurt. It's pretty creamy and doesn't have the saccharine flavor of other smoothie powders. I think my favorite part about this product is the fact that even when you order a full-size pack, it looks like you still get single serving packets. I like that in terms of taking things to go—I could toss one in my purse for a mid-afternoon snack or a coffee replacement for first thing in the morning at work.

Emergen-C 1000mg Vitamin C Dietary Supplement in Super Orange, 0.32 oz - Value $0.33 (Buy 30 for $9.95 on Amazon)

I've never been that impressed by my past experiences with Emergen-C, so I wasn't that excited to see this single-serve packet in the box. This fizzy product 1) doesn't taste that much like citrus (it's got a chemical-ness about it that I really don't like), and 2) I don't think it works that well... Of course, I've always been the person to take it right at the beginning of a cold, rather than as a pre-emptive routine to prevent getting the cold in the first place. I think when the cold hits, it might be too late for me to get the benefits of it. What have all of your experiences been? Has it worked for you?

Dynamize Elite Protein Bar in Coconut Creme, 2.47 oz - Value $1.66 (Buy 12 for $19.90 on Amazon)

I've never tried a coconut-flavored protein bar before, but this one is really good! It has a creamy vanilla "icing" on the outside and a chewy, coconutty middle. It doesn't have a fake sweetener taste, and because you're doing so much chewing, it's awfully satisfying. There are a whopping 25g of protein in this bar—probably far more than I could ever need in one sitting, but after a particularly hard workout, something like this would be really handy. It isn't vegan or plant-based, like the other products are, but it's great for non-vegan fitness fans!

Nuun Hydration Vitamin Drink Tablet - Value $0.52 (Buy 4 12-tablet tubes for $24.82 on Amazon)

I'm pretty good at taking my vitamins, but I could see this being a fun vitamin delivery system if you're not such a big fan of taking a daily tablet or two. This tablet is about the size of a quarter and dissolved into a fizzy, fruity drink when dropped into water. I usually think these kinds of tablets are a little lacking in terms of flavor, but this blueberry pomegranate tablet was so tasty and rich—it didn't taste weak or artificial. This one tablet contains vitamins and minerals like Vitamin B6, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and more.

Advil PM, single dose (2 caplets) - Value $0.23 (Buy 120 caplets for $13.51 on Amazon)

I don't typically keep medicine in my purse, but lately, I've had a couple moments where friends have been looking for something to help with a headache, etc. I don't really take a lot of medications myself, but this handy single-serve pack could be good to have on hand for guests, or for myself in a pinch. In my experience, these tablets do tend to leave me drowsy, so I'll be careful to only use 'em when I'm headed to bed soon!

Emergen-C Hydration Electrolyte Replenishment in Raspberry Splash, single serving - Value $0.72 (Buy 18 for $12.99 on Amazon)

Again, I'm not thrilled by Emergen-C, so I wasn't super excited about this product. I also don't tend to reach for electrolyte drinks, so I don't tchink I'd usually get a lot of use out of this product. But in sampling it, I did think the flavor was okay (I liked this berry flavor better than the traditional citrus flavor of Emergen-C).

Verdict: I thought it was fun looking through all of the samples in this box, especially the wealth of protein supplements and plant-based items. I'm really wowed by the fact that there was about $42.00 of value in what is essentially a free box (after you receive the credit), though most of that comes from the Instavit product which might be overpriced online. Still, there's plenty to enjoy and taste-test here. If you're a person who, like me, feels overwhelmed in the supplements aisle, it's pretty cool to be able to try before I buy.
