This box also comes with info on how to get the $11.99 you spent on the box back in credit!

  1. Go to Amazon.com/Sample-Boxes
  2.  You'll see the boxes you have credit for:

Add the item you want to buy, and the credit will appear in checkout.

Now on to the actual items!

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo - .3 oz Value $.75

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner - .3 oz Value $.75

I really like the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream, and their shampoo and conditioner are great, too. I love the olive oil scents! (Just a heads up that these are formulated with parabens, in case you avoid those.)

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes – 7 wipes Value $1.40

I’m always happy to receive facial wipes in a subscription box! I’ve sampled these wipes many times before, and they are great! No fragrance added, gentle on my skin, and works on waterproof eye makeup – all good things!

Crest 3D White in Radiant Mint - FULL SIZE! Value $2.75

Yay for full-sized items! This toothpaste is designed to help polish away surface stains. I always use a whitening toothpaste since I'm a heavy tea drinker and want to fight against stains. And the flavor is nice and minty, too.

Crest 3D White Whitestrips 1 Hour Express - Value $2.50

And for extra whitening, we have a set of Whitestrips, too! I can't say I noticed a huge difference when using these, but again, I think I'm helping with preventing staining. (And I had no sensitivity issues with my gums and these.)

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Satin Lipstick in Touch of Nude - FULL SIZE! Value $5

This lipstick goes on somewhat sheer, but you can layer it to get more coverage.

I love the satin finish. The formula is moisturizing, and it gives just a hint of shine. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant Rose – .17 oz Value $5?

I’m not 100% on the value of this lip gloss. The label of the sample lists it as 4.8 g/.17 oz, which is larger than the full-size version Target lists at .12 oz.

So either this sample has more actual product than the full-size sample, or the size was mislabeled. (Either way, it’s a good sample size!)

The formula provides a good amount of shine, color, and practically no stickiness. But the wand seems a little too wide for the tube – you pretty much have to force it back into the container!

Here it is swatched beneath the lipstick:

(Multiple swipes on the lipstick, one swipe on the lipgloss.)

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel - .5 oz Value $.70

This cleaner is soap and oil free, and designed to clean your skin without drying it out. It was easy to work into a lather, and it left my skin feeling somewhat hydrated, too. But, it wasn't great at removing makeup. This is a post-makeup wipe cleanser only for me.

Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Daily Moisturizer - 15 ml Value $5

This daily moisturizer can also double as your sunscreen - it has an SPF of 30. I found the formula to be lightweight and gentle, and it absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling soft. It's not greasy, but it left a slight sheen on my skin.

Glide Deep Clean Floss - 4 m Value $.50

Floss is the one dental item I usually forget/skip when traveling, so this travel size version is perfect. (And the peppermint flavor is great.)

Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen - 15 ml Value $1.30

More Aveeno! This is the same size as the other sample, but it has a lesser value since this isn't anti-aging, too. To be honest, I can't tell a difference in the formulas besides the scent. (This one has the classic sunscreen smell.) So if you're interested in Aveeno sunscreen/moisturizer, this is the better value in my opinion!

Proactiv Renewing Cleanser - 1 oz Value $5.80

I was surprised to see this in the box! I thought Proactiv was only sold through their membership, but I'm wrong - you can buy the full-size versions on Amazon. Looking closer at the reviews though, there look to be concerns that the full-size version being sold might be counterfeit. I'm confident Amazon is only sending out beauty samples they received directly from the brands, but if you're considering buying the full-size version of this on Amazon, I'd be cautious.

The formula itself is lovely. It has a fine exfoliant that left my skin feeling super clean. The only downside to the sample is the container. This would be much better in a squeezable tube. (I had to unscrew the cap and dig it out with my fingers to get to the cleanser!)

TheraBreath Fresh Breath Oral Rinse - 3 oz Value $1.50

This was SUPER minty! If you are looking for a mouth rinse that is free of artificial colors, artificial flavors, and alcohol, this is great.

ACURE Coconut + Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes - (12 count)  Value $2.80

ACURE is one of my favorite brands for inexpensive and ingredient-conscious beauty products. (Their formulas are free of just about any ingredient you may want to avoid.) These towelettes have a light, coconut scent that I love, and they did a good job of cleansing my skin, too!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $36. That's awesome for a $12 beauty box considering we have several full-size items! It's even better since you get the entire cost of the box back in credit to buy another item! I would definitely pay $12 for this box even if I didn't $12 credit to spend!

What did you think of the Amazon Beauty Box? What are you going to buy with your credit? I think I'm going to get the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen with my credit.

Ginny

Do you have to use the credit towards a sample from the box?

Renee

This time, you do have to do a limited list from companies in the box. Last time, it was for a much broader list.

Rose

There’s an a limited list you can choose from, but you don’t need to pick an item from the box. I got a Neutrogena body oil with my credit!

AmyM

I skipped this but now I’m annoyed at myself for doing so. Very useful box selection of items.

Mary

How long did it take to get this box after you ordered it?

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Mine took about six calendar days, and I
live in coastal SC. They don’t ship it Prime, unfortunately.

Reply ButtonReply

Hillary

Can you get the credit if you already used a credit from the luxury box?

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Yeah, I believe the two are totally separate. I got this box and the men’s grooming box for my husband and was able to use both credits in the same order. The credits for each box are on different items. (There may be crossover, but that’s doubtful between the regular beauty box and the luxury beauty box.) If not, you know Amazon customer service is great, especially to Prime members. I hope that helps!

I liked this box a lot! Lots of things to try and then you got the credit on top of it. I used my credit for the Simple Micellar water. I use it anyway as a step before nightly moisturizing and it helps get makeup that my wipes don’t get. Feels like a gentle way to get one bit cleaner.

Gabriela

I used the credit to buy a makeup holder from elf, pretty happy with the acquisition. 😀

Amy

Gabriela,
Can you send the link to the makeup holder?

Reply ButtonReply

Lizzie

Yeah, I got none of the things in this box so I’m now wondering if I signed up for a completely different box. I received items for women in like their later 50s and early 60s and I’m only 35. 🙁

Yep that’s what I got! So next time don’t go for the luxury lol.

Gabriela

Did you by any chance bought the Luxury Beauty Box? There are two beauty boxes available on Amazon, and the items are listed on the product page when you buy them.

Liz just FYI, items sold by Amazon are usually the real deal, but many items, including prime items, are sold by others and only fulfilled by Amazon. I have definitely received a counterfeit tarte palette via Amazon before (and tarte recommended not purchasing from Amazon for this reason). So…while Amazon is conscientious about the source of their products, other sellers may not be. You can choose your seller on many items. 😊

I love this butter fudge they sell at Trader Joes. When they ran out I looked on Amazon and a couple of third parties were selling it for $15 with prime. Shocking! Trader Joe sells it for $2.99.

Resa

Mmmmm….my fave Trader Joe’s product: English butter fudge (really Scottish Tablet!!) but I digress. 😜

Bria

This!! I received fake Moroccan oil on prime and knew right away it was fake because I’ve been using it for years. Unfortunately if you’re new to the product you might now know.

I bought this box and it didn’t come with the simple wipes, so amazon sent me another box for free and told me to keep the original. With the credit I bought the neutrogena wipes, use them every day!

Score!
