Subscriber Survey: What Subscription Box Did You Miss Out On?

Liz Cadman
ByLiz CadmanJun 11, 2017 | 93 comments

Sunday Subscriber Survey time! This week's subscription box question is:

What subscription box did you miss out on? Were you able to swap for it after you missed it?

(For me, it was basically every Robb Vices box until they starting shipping to PA!)

None of the Peaches and Petals boxes have been reviewed and it seems to be growing in popularity.

I missed out on the first Pusheen box and I also missed out on the first Guardians of the Galaxy box that Collector Corps did and those are the only two boxes I really regret missing.

I’ve missed out on every RV box. I keep watching the reviews and I want to sub so badly but I would need to cut back on the multiple subs I already have. There’s only so much $ you can justify spending on subs each month. I also love Net et Porter LE boxes and hate to miss out on them.

There are 2. Gentleman’s Box Spring Duffle Bag Box & PopSugar’s LE Men’s Holiday Box from 2015. 😭😤😱

I am a sucker for anything w/a bag attached to it & it’s so rare for Men’s bags to get featured in boxes. I thought, “Oh it’ll be available next week I’m sure. ” 😡😯😲

Never again I tell you!

Nina Garcia and Adidas Avenue A. All of them, but I especially feel l missed out on the Lagerfeld bag in the most recent Nina Garcia. I wouldn’t even care what color – all the variations I saw looked great. I pretty much like every color except blue.

I dithered about Landfall Freight because of international postage, and then I found out they’d closed!

And then there was that Zavvi special Lego box – by the time I heard about it signups were already closed. I hope someone reviews it here!

The SugarBash Limited Edition Box – I know it’s available for purchase at $80, but I read that if you were a current subscriber it came as your April box for $40. What a steal!

PSMH – Neiman Marcus 2013! I think it in my top 10 box of the boxes in Birchbox era sub boxes.

2015’s Popsugar LE men’s box, although I was pretty happy with this 2016’s (well, my guy was).
I’ve mostly gotten what I wanted, and the things I’ve missed are apparently forgettable LOL there are more that I regret buying than regret not buying, for sure.

The first Adidas box.

Revive and Serendipity, two subs that folded abruptly and made off with my money. I missed out on one shipment from Revive and two from Serendipity and my bank hasn’t helped at all.

But I know that’s not your real question. I have pined over Skandicrush, the first Popsugar Target LE and the infamous Allure box with the Foreo Play.

The Popsugar LE Resort 2017, I didn’t know about it and I love that whole box most especially the pillow. I live in Florida and am always at the beach and yes I lug my big pillow with me 😂

It's me

I’m fairly new to subscription boxes so there have been a lot of past boxes I’ve seen that were awesome but I wish I would have joined FabFitFun sooner. I joined in time for the spring box this year and am completely looking forward to the summer box but I wish I would have been subscribed since their first box.

I feel like I’m missing out every time I see an Adidas Avenue A review. But I just never bite the bullet and make that $150 every 3 month commitment. I should…

Couldn’t agree more on this – I found out about it and it was too late to sign up.

Another one I missed was Rachel Zoe’s Box of Style Fall 2016 – that’s the one that hooked me. I asked for it as a christmas gift and by the time my mom ordered, they moved on to the winter box. I’ve loved every single box from her.

If anyone has a whole fall 2016 BOS for sale.. let me know.

Some of the recent PopSugar boxes look pretty good. I don’t sub though because they are such a complete mystery.

Seems like a lot of the boxes were waaay better when they first started…so I guess the key is to sub when a company is first starting out then bail later on when they start going through growing pains. Lol. From what I understand the current iteration of Birchbox and Glossybox (I sub to both) are not as good as from a few years back. So while I technically get them each month, I “missed” getting them when they were actually great.

All of the Burke Boxes and Linen Crate. Linen Crate was seriously my ideal subscription box, so I’m really sad I missed it when it was around!
