ShoeDazzle is a monthly shoe, clothing, and accessories subscription service. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gives you better prices – almost everything is only $39.95 (or less) for VIPs. When you sign up for a membership, you complete a style profile. On the 1st of every month, they release new styles and you can pick any item you want - either from your personal 'Showroom' or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.

I had a hard time choosing from my top picks this month, so I decided to order two things! I received an invoice/packing slip noting the items I ordered.
And on the back, there’s helpful information about their return and exchange policy and process.
High Waisted Ruffle Bikini - VIP Price $42.95 (retail price $56.95)
ShoeDazzle started promoting their swimwear a couple months ago and I've been wanting to try a bathing suit. I was really drawn to this two-piece, first because of the high-waisted bottoms, and after I saw the ruffle wrapped around the entire bikini top. For $42.95, what would the quality be like? I decided to take a chance since this is pretty affordable compared to specialty store brands.
This swimsuit is comprised of 80% nylon and 20% spandex and feels like a standard suit. I was really impressed to see that under the ruffle, there are two very structured cups. ShoeDazzle offers this bathing suit in XS-3X, so, unfortunately, I could not order the top in my bra size. I decided to go with my normal top size after referencing their size chart. Despite the swim top being super cute, it is extremely ill-fitted. The first issue is the cup itself. Now, I'm pretty average chested, but the cup sits higher on my chest, so I ended up with the top gaping even after adjusting the straps. Instead, I was filling out below the cup. It's a good thing there are ruffles because it's a hot mess underneath!
The second issue is excess fabric between the cup and the side seam. There's about 2" extra fabric on each side, which would absolutely have to be taken in. So overall, the cups are too small but the top itself is too big. Super disappointing!
I love when swim tops have the option to remove the strap! Now I'm super bummed this doesn't fit because I could envision wearing this feminine top strapless.
The back closure is a traditional gold hook.
These high-waisted bottoms could not be more opposite: they fit perfectly! This is my bikini bottom cut of choice; my tummy is an area I would prefer to not accentuate and these conceal everything. The front and back have full coverage and I absolutely love the retro flair.
If I were to value each piece at $21.50 (splitting the VIP price in half), the bottoms are absolutely worth it. However, I am willing to eat the other $21.50 on a swim top I'll never consider wearing or would have to tailor? I've definitely paid more than $42 for ill-fitting bottoms, so I think the answer is yes!
Crochet Peasant Top - VIP Price $32.95 (retail price $46.95)
I equally fell in love with this boho top. ShoeDazzle is promoting this blushy, salmon pink as "watermelon." Whatever color name you prefer, the shade is beautiful. The top itself is 63% cotton and 37% rayon, and looks slightly faded and distressed, but in a great way. I ordered my normal size, but I feel it fits large and I would suggest sizing down.
The top has an A-line silhouette, and since it's large on me, it's roomy (not a bad thing), but I find it looks a bit frumpy on. If I don't exchange this for a smaller size, I will feel best if worn tucked in. I think I may take ShoeDazzle up on their exchange policy, though. I'm not dying to wear this right now, and the quality is good enough to go through the process of sending it back and waiting for a different size.
The monochromatic crochet is also great quality and I love the striping it creates on the arm and front. There is fabric behind the front crochet, so no need to layer a camisole underneath!
How about these sleeves?! I love to wear a little 70's flare here and there.
Verdict: ShoeDazzle has easily become one of my favorite subscription boxes to receive each month. I am able to pick, literally, whatever I want and as long as my total exceeds $39.95, shipping is free! The total retail value this month is $103.90, but I paid a VIP price of $75.90 for both (with free shipping). This is, unfortunately, the second month in a row that I picked items with ill-fitted tops. However, ShoeDazzle has provided a lot of great pieces for my wardrobe and I'm happy with this subscription overall. I'll keep you posted next month on how the exchange process goes!
