Truman Razor Handle

The Truman Razor handle comes in three colors (Orange, Blue, or Olive) and feels quite substantial. The matte, rubberized exterior has a great feel and the textured grip underneath really makes it feel like it isn’t going to slip out of my hands. I’d say overall, the quality is top notch on this handle!

Razor Blade

This five blade razor did a pretty good job on its first shave if I do say so myself. The flex hinge is pretty durable and the lubricating strips are very nice. The precision trimmer was extremely great for those hard to reach areas like under your nose.

They also include a card with instructions on how to remove the blade from the handle.

Travel Blade Cover

The travel cover is a nice feature for those of us on the go! It’s two-toned and easy to take on and off your razor.

Foaming Shave Gel (4 oz.)

This foaming gel smells so good and left my skin feeling so soft after my shave! The aloe is a great added touch and the gel is paraben free for those of us who have sensitive skin.

Verdict: This is the first shave kit I’ve ever received and I really enjoyed it! The quality of the razor, handle, and gel was very high and felt great against my skin throughout the entire process. I very much look forward to placing some add-ons like balms and face wash in my future shipments!

  1. There does not seem to be a blade on the back for shaving your top lip like on other razors that’s why I won’t buy it!!

  2. how do I order more blades?

  3. I’d like to see a comparison of Harry’s vs Dollar Shave Club. We’ve been getting the Dollar Club for a while now and the razors are really good but I like the fact this has the rubberized handle for less slip and the precision trimmer on it. Anyone on here had both that can compare?

  4. Love Harry’s. Been with them over a year and never had any problems with their razors or blades!

  5. Did anyone else find that the rubber attaching the blade to the pivot point came apart with time? I was shaving my legs when the blade just kind of fell apart which was a bummer because the blade was still sharp.

    • Thanks for the feedback, Joy. I’ll be sure to follow up if that happens to me!

    • Yup! I don’t have much hair on my legs, but I shave daily and that broke pretty quickly, IMO. I believe it’s made to do that so that you change your blades more frequently (at least I’m guessing that is the reason??). I wish they made blades specifically for women — without the trimming blade at the top.

  6. I think my man would like the trial kit but is it easy to cancel so I can just receive it and not start a sub?

    • You have to setup a profile and how frequent you’d like to receive shipments, but can cancel at anytime!

      • Great! Thanks for the info and the great review Rob! 🙂
