Now, on to the items!
Honua Aloha Youth Serum – FULL SIZE! Value $58
First, I have to give props to the packaging. I love how this box opens up:
(The packaging is made of recycled material and printed with vegetable ink!)
The serum formula is a milky oil, that absorbed quickly into my skin. It is designed to hydrate, smooth, brighten, tighten and nourish skin.
I’m loving this serum for two reasons:
- The scent! I was hoping for a tropical natural scent from this brand and they delivered! (It isn’t too strong, either.)
- A lot of oil serums can take a while to absorb into my skin. That’s not the case with this serum, though, so it is perfect for night and day use.
Honua Olena Oil – FULL SIZE! Value $48
This is the “sidekick” item this month. Usually that means a sample sized item. But we get another full-size item for June!
This oil smells lovely but very different from the Youth Serum. It’s made with turmeric and rosemary, and the scent reminds me of fresh vegetables and herbs.
The formula is a yellow-hued oil that takes a bit longer than the serum to absorb, and it leaves your skin with a bit of a sheen. It’s designed to be used after the serum, to brighten your skin and give you a healthy glow. (I can’t say I noticed a glow yet, but my skin definitely looks hydrated!)
Verdict: This month’s Beauty Heroes box has a value of about $106. I think that’s a great value for the cost, and I appreciate that Beauty Heroes sends top-quality natural and organic brands. (Plus two full-size items this month!!)
This box is about quality over quantity, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a natural beauty box. What do you think of the June 2017 Beauty Heroes box?
