BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. It’s one of our favorite subscription boxes – our dog loves it, and we’ve gifted it to dogs in our extended family as well!

BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds). Check out Ragan's April review of the super chewer box!

Every BarkBox has a theme - and this one had a Jurassic Park theme - but punny - Chewrassic Bark!

It comes with a themed card that displays variants of items that you could receive. You can get further details on your items in the app or in your account.

Hatchin' Harry Plush Toy - Value $10

Let's start with this cute little plush toy - Hatchin' Harry the dino.

The dino fully comes out of the egg. The egg itself has crinkly paper throughout and the dino has a squeaker and a bungee neck!

While it was hard to get a good shot of Buckles with this toy - it's his current favorite plush toy - he's tossing it around my office all day!

Saberchewth Tiger Teeth - Value $8

The second toy is a combination of a harder rubber toy and a plush toy.

This plush toy has a little rubber chew ball covered with plush fabric in the back.

It'll give your pup that Sabretooth smile!

If you can tell from this picture - Buckles liked the plush parts, but not any of the hard pieces.

Dino-Bite Treats - Value $6

The first of two packs of treats contains soft, chewy, turkey sticks.

These are the perfect type of treat for our dog - they're similar to a beef stick - but cut into thirds, making treat time a little easier to ration out.

Buckles was very impatient for treat taste-testing.

Here's more information from BarkBox:

Cooked up by the folks at House of Pups, these turkey and oatmeal treats are the hearty scrumptiousness that your dog craves. They're made in the USA, so you don't have to worry about any wacky dyes or artificial fillers. Wheat-free and packed with protein, they are as wholesome as they are delicious.

Those are the eyes of determination! Naturally, they're perfect for him and he loves these.

Jurassic Pork - Value $8

The second pack of treats, like the name of this box, is super punny - Jurassic Pork!

Again - another perfect treat for Buckles. These are really soft pork sticks - easy to break apart and ration.

Here's more information from BarkBox:

These treats have hit all the milestones of their namesake; they're wholesome, they're exciting, and they're already in 3D. Plus your pup will definitely want them to become a trilogy. Made in the USA with pork, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and rosemary, they're perfect for a snack or as a training reward. Delicious and all-natural, these treats are well on their way to becoming a true classic.

Not only does he love the photo sessions, but he loves when I write the reviews because he gets another shot at the treats when I pull each on out! Again - these are an A+ pick for Buckles.

Pork Roll - Value $6

The last item in our box was a hard chew. This is a 100% pork chew - we typically don't give Buckles chews like this or anything rawhide, but I did just break it in half and offer a little bit to him - 100% not interested in it at all! He's so picky.

Verdict: Typically, the fifth item in the box is one that our dog doesn't like - despite that, we still love this box! The treats and toys have been getting a lot better recently, and more appropriate for our pup. The bonus is, even if Buckles doesn't enjoy a specific treat, we have other dogs happily waiting to snag it!

I need to switch to the sturdier toys. My mini aussies ante small but mighty and I have white fuzz all over my house for weeks. They are able to remove the squeakers within an hour…..

Howlooo Eric and Buckles!!!

We cannot thank you enough for your pawesome feedbark about our Chewrassic Bark June BarkBox! I totally agree- this punny theme was one of my favorites yet! We’re so yappy to hear that Buckles thought the toys and treats were dino-mite, too! 😊

Hatchin’ Harry was definitely a favorite among our pawffice pups, and it looks like Buckles agrees! I’m so happy he was the pawfect size for Buckles! The Saberchewth Tiger Toy is grreat for photo ops and the spiky ball inside is great for those more determined chewers in our pack. And we’re so glad the treats were so pawfect for Buckles!! He definitely deserves to be spoiled with some tasty treats he ruvs!

Thank you again for reviewing BarkBox. Paw-lease give Buckles an extra Jurassic Pork treat for us– we look furward to reading your review of July’s BarkBox!

Christine

They do such a good job curating their boxes and collabs. As a dog owner, I know good toys and treats.

Buckles is adorable per usual. I am glad he gets his own box every month.

❤ Buckles!

And that sabertooth toy is so cute! how they’d look like a sabertooth if they held the ball part in their mouth
